Well the new Nike home kit is out and it has certainly ruffled a few feathers!

Love it or loathe it, the kit is with us for next season.

Maybe the dissenters have got it wrong?

The main problem appears to be the large white cuffs on the short sleeved shirt, but surely if it is good enough for Brazil then it is good enough for Everton?

What do you think?

long sleeved shirt ok, but since when has there been any red in the blues kit!!!. i know its in socks but no need for any red at all. every true blue should boycott socks until nike amend them.

I couldnt give a rats arse about the kit as long as we start well and as for all those grown men who wear the shirt to the match who are not actually in the team, everyone around you who is not wearing the shirt thinks your a fucking massive bellend and in all fairness you are, wear normal clothes to the match and leave the kit wearing to the team and the kids, oh and if you have got a players name on the back you look like a twat but if you have your own name then really are a top draw cunt!!! Now all fuck off and worry about the football and not the kit you gang of dickheads.

Let’s be honest this kit is horrible. The cuffs look daft (and will look even dafter with the long sleeve under shirts some of the players wear), the socks should be white (although I admit we have worn blue before) and the blue is just too light – it is more like a Chelsea blue than our traditional royal blue. Just because our kit is now made by Nke doesn’t mean it is automatically going to any good. Nike have also come up with 2 terrible kits for Man Utd and Arsenal for next season. Althouh LCS we not deemed a “cool” brand, the last 2 home kits we’ve had have been amongst our best, and the cream 3rd shirt from 10/11 was probably our best ever away kit. Also the lack of women’s fit shirts across the Nike range is a major mistake as we have a lot of female fans.

Yeah just get the long sleeved kit. Looks pretty decent on the site shop. Like the late 60's early 70's kits. I think all the players should wear it this season, as some will.

To everyone asking where the traditional white socks are! Isn't it obvious? They're on the sleeves!

As far as I know aren't the bands on the sleeves designed with elasticated material to roll up so they become smaller if you want. Going by the Nike Celtic away kit this year I know that it rolls up to reveal an Irish tri-colour design under the large cuff. By the sounds of things that seems to be the main gripe so think I'll wait to get my hands on a physical sample before buying it.

For those saying about umbro, Nike owns most of umbro so they ain't struggling, go into the Nike shop in liverpool one and see the England shirts they sell. the kits. the only issue I have is once again its only available in 3 places everton one, everton two and everton direct, so worldwide fans and people who buy random shirts like I do have no way of getting it, money the club is missing out on.

I hate Nike, they represent everything bad about corporate America, they take over a sport to the detrement of samller firms. Umbro are struggling to stay in business. Look at the Nike stars...Terry Henry, a fuckin cheat with no morals, Tiger Woods, a fuckin cheat with no morals who will swear and spit in front of kids, Wayne Rooney, best playet England has produced who on the biggest stage football can offier failed to deliver oh and he is a fuckin cheat(according to the press!), and Roger Federer he's erm..........oh well he is bloody good. Anyway I wont buy the shirt as I hate Nike, I will save the money and buy more Chang instead......Christ I must really hate Nike!!

Not sure what all the fuss is about, it's a perfectly nice kit. Shame about the blue socks, but I don't have a problem with the cuffs. Looking forward to wearing it at Hibbo's testimonial.

Keen on Nike, not too keen on the kit, think it will be good for the club in the long run but i'm guessing we have to win the faith of the manufacturer, who unlike arguably all of our previous manufacturers are actually bigger than the club... but that is a good thing, our player of the season last season is well endorsed by nike and if we can get a few others through the association then all good... much as I'll always wear my shirt with pride its alot easier with the tick in place of the rooster

The new shirt is a bad as the "White Bib" shirt designed to show of the NEC sponsers name. Brazil are the football "Team Nike" so corporate interest comes first rather than the football . A "Nike Brand" one style fits all may be good enough for Brazil just as the awful "Adidas" brand shirt was good enough for Liverpool when they sold out to sponsors . We are Everton not just aother "clothes horse" for the Nike Brand Swoosh . An association with Nike does not mean your a big club just that money comes first before history . Regardless of the "Nike Brand" is an awful shirt not worthy of the club.

I personally dont give a flying shite as long as the lads get some early points on the board. They turned out in shocking pink not too long back, so this new Nike kit has got to be seen as a step forward.

Best kit since the first puma kit...the fitted one with white stitching! The sleeves are a bit bold but on the whole the kit is very nice! And I know a few ald fellas will disagree, but I prefer the blue socks!

Brazil's Green Cuffs on a Yellow background works well as their flag litterely has the same theme! Well if there's any team that can pull it off it's Everton! Not like them Ugly Muckers across the park!

I think we need to stop focussing on the sleeves and start focussing on the fact it has the Everton badge on it. Buy it and wear it with pride. "COYB"

Not only the sleeves- the fact there are no women's or babies sizes is a disgrace. Let down by Nike.
