Joe Royle reckons that a fully fit Louis Saha with Becks alongside him is the difference between Everton being a top six side, and relegation contenders.

Our injury-plagued Frenchman is one of the Premier League's top strikers when he's fit and firing but, all too often, he finds himself on the sidelines. Big Joe insists that been one of our biggest problems in a disappointing season.

Big Joe said: 'You guarantee me 35 games a season from Saha and I'll guarantee you top six. Get him out there and he's terrific, but he gets injured very easily.

'They need Saha out there. It's no coincidence that when he's out there Everton are at their best. He's as strong as an ox, he holds the ball up and is always a danger.

'Beckford has been outstanding value as a free transfer plus wages, and you wonder where they'd be without his goals this season.'

Well said Joe, I think Beckford has done well in his first season, not starting for a while still banging in 8 goals and not to mention jumping up 2 leagues, next season i think he will be prolific and we will have a 20 goal a season man, who cost nothing. Also you have to praise Moyes for taking a punt on the lad, and with both hand tied behind his back the haters (and there are a few on here and toffeeweb) he has done a terrific job and we would be in the Championship if not lower by now. Although Saha as much class as he is, he is getting old and has a body made of glass. We have proven that we play better 442 but Moyes is obviously trying to accomodate Cahill in his perfered role, and rightly so with him being our top scorer, but i think against the so called lesser sides going 442 would be a better option because in the 4411 we are predictable. I would love Moyes job but on the other hand id hate it too
