Jack In New Role
Bookmark and Share

We saw Jack in an unusual role yesterday for Everton at City. He was given the difficult task of a man to man job on David Silva. Not an easy job considering Silva is one of the best players in the Premiership.

And a hell of a job he did. He kept the Spanish magician quiet for well over a hour until City went ahead. It was then David Moyes had to have a re think

Jack showed us all what a versatile player he can be. Does this role show that Jack is better in a defensive role?

David Moyes said:"Overall the boys did really well. Jack Rodwell did a great job on marking David Silva.

"That gave us a platform to attack whenever we could but we know they've got some really good players."

I prefere him in this role! The more practice he has in this position the better he'll get! Let's hope!

I thought Rodwell was excellent, hasn't been the first time he's played well this season either, he deserves praise. Fellani is a liability at times and I just wish he would show some discipline like rodders yesterday. Rodwell suits being a box to box midfielder though imo, he's wasted just defending and links the play well.
