The Everton skipper isn't a happy bunny after yesterday's performance against Blackburn. He knows the team has got to improve and he is already looking forward to the next two games.

Phil Neville said: "Blackburn created more chances and we were lucky to go in at half time 1-0.

"Sometimes you get games like that and you have to grind out the result but we didn't do that today."

"The one consolation is we didn't lose the game. We got a point and we move on to the next game.

"Performances need to be better and we need to keep playing and sticking together because we have two big home games coming up.

Its a squad game and the whole team must take stock and all were ale house so v Blackburn who could easily have won. I m saying that at least the captain is being honest in his assessment .(press censorship) etc we all know how piss poor the game was and this season has been.

Neville just tops the list of embarrassments that are currently in the starting XI. His legs went in the summer and yet he still gets picked! Give youth a chance and we might see some players that a hungry to play for the blue shirt.

For gods sake take a little time out and think before you put all theblame on neville, there was another eight players who were as crap as him. My worry is there`s always one team that goes into freefall hope its not us.

I was at the game on Saturday and although only a couple had a hakf decent game, Neville was absolutely appauling. His control, passing and general play were unacceptable and couldn't track anyone going down the outside or running at him, he was just backing off all the time. I have no doubt that he has a presence at the club and even in the dressing room but if this 'Messiah' which Moyes rates so much as an individual, can not practice was he preaches anymore, what kind of influence is this going to have on the starting 11 or the rest of the squad for that matter. Mayber a few years ago i'd of picked him just ahead of Hibbo but not anymore.

Same as above Fizzer... sorry but there is a distinct lack of physical effort from Everton of late especially. It has got to be from an aging side who physically cannot do what is required of them like tracking back and closing down all in all the play is below par and is so for all to see. We all know Moyes isn't being given the money required to replace the age afflicted members of the squad but surely there is a plan 'B' as there has to be! doesn't there?

Phil Neville isnt having the best of times at the moment but Phil Neville doesnt pick the team! I'm sure he knows hes past it but what do you want him to do drop himself? DAVID MOYES picks that excuse of a team nobody else.

Difficult to argue with any of the comments actions speak louder than words and we are seeing precious little of it. Fact is Blackburn are allegedlythe team/club in turmoil but their midfield strolled through ours, their defenders had the easiest day they have had for years, the goalie had nothing to do apart from the last 60 seconds and their attack was a handful and they are the ones in turmoil. Lucky its not us then eh!

He should be unhappy and angry with Moyes. The same lame tactics, team set up and the continual selection of players who are out of form / past their best.

Get off his back. Don't hear anyone else coming out an explaining their performances. No wonder players don't bother, they get abuse by their own supporters. I respect Phil win or lose he's talking to the fans.

Maybe if you learned how to cross a fucking ball you retard, one of the big useless lumps we've got up front might well have got their gormless heads on the end of it. I can't believe that someone that's being payed as much as you are and has been playing in this league for god knows how long, doesn't know how to whip a cross in using his instep, thus generating pace on the ball and giving the forwards less to do when it reaches the box. What's with this fucking chipping the ball in, you might as well take a pitching wedge on the field with you, as you might actually get some accuracy with that for a change.

Listen Philip. The fans have had enough of your lame dog excuses. If there were some effort and commitment from the players then the fans would get behind you. The apologies are getting a bit boring now. Sort it out!!!

The problem is you!your a poor defender and you dont have any ability for passing, Those long balls are hopeless and inaccurate. 8/10 tackles you foul opponents giving us even more to defend.. Please retire Phil Nev.... Long live Tony hibbert
