Blues winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov is understood to be close to signing for Spartak Moscow.

Spartak say Billy has agreed terms but talks are ongoing with Everton to finalise the deal.

The Moscow club say they had reached an agreement 'In principle' with Everton.

A statement on Spartak's Website said: 'The contract will be signed after the medical examination'

Its safe to say Billy has made less of an mpact since joining the Blues for £10 million in 2009.

Billy has won 39 caps for Russia and has scored 9 goals in 77 appearances for Everton.

No fee has been revealed but its believed to be around £5m. David Moyes may use the money to cover the defence or target Fiorentina's Alessio Cerci, who the Blues have been strongly lnked with.

It's never really happend for him I wanted so much for him to do well for us but truth his he can't run, can't pass, he can't cross... He has one hell of a shot on him scored some great goals and left us with some memories but it's time for him to go. Best of luck lad.

I know a few will disagree with this, but I hope most people will agree. Our three most expensive players just haven't cut the mustard have they? Billy, please see comments below... The Yak, Played reasonably well at the start but was never consistent. Feli - Not a bad player but again pretty inconsistent, especially after signing his nice new contract. All signings made by Moyes. I don't know what it is, I think he has a tendency to destroy certain player's attributes at times. Not all players, but come on the list could go on from these 3!!

NYBLUE - Your comments don't make sense. The RS got rid of Houllier and Benitez after they won The Champions league! True - look at where they are now, a million miles away from the champions league. We won't go down this year, who knows what a new manager would bring. Billy has to go, he is slow, weak on the ball, and can't tackle. It makes me laugh how some of you claim he should have played Center Mid. Someone mentioned Moyes is only known for his signings of Arteta and Cahill. Lets not forget Baines and Coleman.

A decent lad but he never delivered in a consistent manner and argubaly in 77 games or so for the 1st team I dont think he done more than 15 minutes work in any match. Still as they say you live and learn, but like Per Kroldrup in 2005, I wonder how our scouts qualify whos worthy of playing for us? Once again we get shafted. Of the dough we get we wont be able to do much after the transfer costs are taken out. I do hope its not one out and no one in, a week to go lets see what happens..

Never quite understood the "played out of position" line. He can't kick a ball straight, doesn't track back, and makes a mistake and pouts.... You do that in any position and it's off to Siberia mate. No hunger, no desire, no chance, GET RID.

A real shame for Diniyar that he's never been played in the position he excels in for his national team. A superb left foot, an eye for goal, always played in the middle behind the strikers and where does/did Moyes play him - out wide - unreal. Don't blame Diniyar for whatever we lose on the deal, he didn't set the purchase price tag and he ain't setting the sale price. Moyes agreed to paid it and Moyes will set the sale price. After all, he keeps telling us that no player business is done without his say-so. Good Luck Diniyar. Da svidanya.

Good Luck BILLY. You never really got a fair chance at Goodison. Hope all works out for you in Russia. Lets hope Moyes puts the funds towards a new forward.

He has ability but never applied it for us for whatever reason. I dont buy into this 'he was never played in his proper position', he wasnt asked to play in goal or defence, he had numerous chances in midfield/attack to make an impact and completely failed. We got far more out of players like Kilbane, Li-Tie & Pembridge. Bye Bily, thanks for nothing.

Having scene most of his goals at Goodison, sadly they far out weight the times he stood still, backed out of challenge, didnt make a challenge in what ever position he played. Even against Tamworth in his "favoured" position he hardly put a turn in. Promised so much delivered so little

DW @12 you're spot on, Moyes hasn't got a clue when it comes to big name signings and modern day football personalities...he has failed too many times to even keep hold of these marque signings or players - the list of big money signings who came in and left without any real contribution overshadows his two signings that everyone justifies him with - arteta and cahill ( those were both a decade ago!) he isn't the man for the job - We need to build from the ground up - Barkley, Rodwell, Duffy, Garbutt, Baxter, vellios, gueye, silva, Wallace... But moyes doesn't seem to be that kind of manager either sticking with Neville, cavil and saga all season... The RS told Benitez to hop it after he won the champions league, and houllier who won the treble...it's a ruthless game but that's why he gets 3 million a year... Adkins from Southampton for me.

Well I bet you he starts scoring goals now and Spartak will play him in his preferred position. I will watch him closely. Thanks Billy for your wonderful goals when you scored them. All the best matey

Thanks Billy, when you first came I was excited about getting you, but David Moyes has never played you in your natural position long enough to see the results... Good luck when you get back to Russia and I hope you are in the papers every week for the right reasons ... I hope we get the £5 million that has been mentioned and hopefully we can afford a half decent striker with that money plus some of the money promised in the transfer market... So you may well have just helped us and yourself by leaving... Thanks again and good luck no matter where you end up!

I don't know if I've ever seen a pro footballer look more confused by the game. He just stood there while Baines was running around him. I think Moyes has been great for Everton but I do question his 10 mill plus signings. His smaller transfers have generally been excellent. Personally, I don't think he should have been allowed to sign players for over 10 mill. For one, even if they are successful, the club won't make that much money on them when they leave (Fellaini).

Pity, but he had his chances and just didn't deliver. I don't think I've ever seen a more infuriating player who promised so much and delivered so little.

I remember listening to Sharpy on Radio City when we signed Bily. He said the reports coming out of the club were he was a fast left sided winger with an eye for goal. I reckon Kilbane was better. Not your fault Bily. Good luck with the move back to Russia.

We wonder why we lack any money for new signings when players go for buttons after spending a substantial amount on them previously. Sigh.

I'm so disappointed with everything that has happened with Bily. I guess that sometimes it does happen.... Russian international, league winning club captain at 24 and (when he concentrates) a beautiful left foot. But it never worked for us. Constantly played out of position? Never strong enough? Never bothered enough? The problem is when he cost £10m there is such expectation and those problems should be sorted out by the manager, especially when he is the third most expensive player ever signed at Goodison. Let's hope Moyes uses what money he gets to not only buy someone attacking minded but to actually allow them the freedom to attack as well. I wish Bily all the best and just wish it had worked. Onwards and upwards from here for both parties! COYB

Hopefully we will be able to recycle the £7m into someone who knows where the net is. It obviously hasn't worked out for the lad, but the Premier league is probably the toughest. Just look at Forlan, shite at Manure & a world beater in Spain. Good luck Bily... you tried & failed... Not the first & won't be the last. COYB

Sorry it didn't work out Bily, everyone wanted it to! Hopefully we get most of what we paid for ya back. Then use the money to sign Drenthe up on a contract, as well as tempting Bristol City into selling us Maynard, who I think would be perfect for getting on the end of Vellios' hold up play if he gets a chance!
