Jimmy Mac Off To Burnley?

As if it was not embarrassing enough when James McFadden returned to Goodison, it would appear that Everton are now ready to let him go out on loan!

It was always a strange move to bring him back, as pointed out at the time, the signing only highlights the current problems we have. The move wasn't ideal, it might not even work out, but beggars cannot be choosers sometimes.

With a short-term contract and no transfer fee as he was a free agent after leaving relegated Birmingham, usually you would think this was a cheap risk-free option. But considering he hadn't played football for over a year before the move back to Goodison following a serious knee injury, this move was anything but risk-free. It was simply just a cheap move, which so far hasn't worked out.

So it isn't much of a surprise that he is being linked with a loan to Burnley.

As long as we are cutting our costs it could be the right move for all concerned.

Might it be a short term loan, to get him some games under his belt?

i personally think a cheeky bid for micheal owen is a must, hes a blue, sitting around at united, surely pulling on the famous blue shirt may bring the owen of old back for one last fling at top flight football...surely there will be a nominal fee and wages could be agreed! if hes a true blue like claims then test the water! surely if brighton are toying with the idea then im sure we can.

a rank average player before his injury problems. a waste of money, and another person blocking the progress of younger players due to the manager having to justify his wage by including him in the match day squad

I defended the move on here a while ago saying give him a chance and see what he can do... Well, I hold my hands up now and admit it was a bit of a bobbins move.

Oh well, the squad gets smaller! And Billy is now off home, so i guess we all wait biting our nails till tuesday night waiting for another player to come in who no-one has ever heard of yet alone spell their name. And all our so called targets are off to other premier league clubs. Enthusiasm for this season is seeping away fast, and i hate that feeling. For Gods sake Dunc, get your badges quick and put the fear of god in these players and remind them what it is required when you put on that shirt. If you need some help im sure messrs Stubbs, Weir and a certain Mr Reid might be available to help.

I have to say , This club we love and support are just a joke on and off the field,.Bringing Mc Fadden back ,, smacked of desperation .Any way it would not matter who you put up front or in midfield , they are so boring to watch ,, they have played one through ball forward this season when we scored at Villa.I of course like David Moyes ,, but they must be playing to his orders. Why the midfield has to have three touches before knocking ity sideways baffles me .The odd time they play it forward after the three touches ,, the ball has been telegraphed to the opposing player.I have not enjoyed one game this season ,, and for the first time ever I will not be attending the cup game against Fulham ,, I do not want to be bored and cold

Hopefully when he came back for a second time he was on a pay as you play deal otherwise just goes to show another shocking financial error for our moneyless club!

What exactly was the point of bringing Faddy back? I always liked him to be honest, but resigning him after his injuries was beyond a joke. Get him sold, if we can make back what we've paid in wages then all the better.

Does he want a lift, he was crap first time around, even worse now. Total no brainer bringing him back

What a waste of wages, surely we could have got someone else on loan, who would have actually contributed to the team in some way. I havent got anything against McFadden, but I like most Blues was totally baffled by the flawed logic of Moyes in bringing him back.
