Billy Was A Good Boy

Well most Evertonian have got their wish with Diniyar Bilyaletdinov finally leaving. There was no doubt that he had a special left foot and he scored some crackerjacks. Notably the ones against Man Utd and Wolves

David Moyes is sorry to see Billy go. He was an Everton nearly man and Moyesy had nothing but praise for him.

David Moyes said: "He was a great boy to work with, a really good professional.

"When he played he was totally committed and he did everything he could to succeed. We wish him well. It just didn't quite work and obviously we've decided to sell.

"It happens. You could probably ask every manager in the Premier League about players and I can think of some clubs you could ask about a lot of players but, yes, Bily's been in here and not quite reached what we wanted. But I couldn't fault anything that he did, he is a good lad

MOYES: get off his back. even the 'great' sir whisky nose and othe top managers make the odd bad buy. so has moyes, but generally his record in the market has been good BILLY: It didnt work out but the lad has been a model pro. never did a 'saha' and spat his dummy out when not played. He did his best whenever he pulled the shirt on. Good luck Billy, always welcome back, IF we ever get back into europe!

I hope Tavarish Bilyaletdinov enjoys a successful return to his native land and stars for the Russian national team at Euro 2012. Its a pity he had to go, just like it was a pity to see him played in the wrong position whenever he did get a game.

Mick, Bootle- Moyes has also made money back on players such as Johnson, Lescott, Arteta and even Marcus Bent. You cant judge every player right but Moyes has got more right than he got wrong.

Come on Mick lad, your having a pop at Moyes over something that you think has supposedly happened in somebodys rumour. Totally forgetting of course that it would be much stranger in todays markets for any fee to be paid fully upfront. Clubs found it odd that Abramovich preferred to pay 100% for some players at point of purchase. On the other hand, if the fees are correct, then there is a good chance that we purchased Bily on a five year payment scheme in order to afford him. If true, how much have we actually paid? And therefore, how much of the £5m do we already owe out to close the £9m owed? 2.5 years in, I would take a guess we have paid 50% of his fee, meaning that £4.5m of the £5m we got will go straight too repayment. (All speculation on my part though)

Worryingly I think the fee we supposedly got is so staged that we remain stuffed as regards getting in a half decent creative midfielder. Just like the £10m loss on Yakubu. Thanks a bunch Davie. Rember that next time you whinge about money to spend.
