Hibbo Says He'll Do Anything For Everton

Hibbo is already a Goodison legend, we all know that he will die for the cause, but he has come out with a statement, one that could be up there with Bally, Labby and The Cannonball Kid's.

Dave Hickson said he would break a bone for any other club but he'd die for Everton..... Labby said One Evertonian.... and Bally said Once Everton has touched you....

Yesterday, Hibbo was asked about his Star Man role in the centre of defence in Tuesday's win over Sitteh.

Hibbo said: 'I just like defending. It's my job. When I started playing right back it came naturally to me and the principles are the same.'

'I think the manager has faith in me there. To throw me in against Dzeko shows that, and I'll do anything for Everton.'

'They've (City) got to be one of the best sides we've played this season. They're not top of the table for no reason.'

'We've just been lacking that sort of typical Everton spirit a bit lately. I think it all came together for us against City.'

I'LL DO ANYTHING FOR EVERTON!

Love it Hibbo, just love it.

Average player?! Hibbo has been our most consistent defender (behind distin, and in terms of actual defending hes ahead of baines) once in a blue moon, WTF you chatting? He's been fantastic since last season, wins most challenges, doesn't make as many reckless challenges (and if he does he wins the ball) and despite his size hes good in the air! idiots from springfield.

Quality quote from a quality defender. Still rate him as one of the most reliable players I've seen at Everton in my time for sheer balls-out determination. Yeah, so he mis-hits a pass every once in a while - you really think you're more p!ssed at him than he is for that?

Lenny from Springfield. Every great team that has ever graced a football pitch has always had one player who would Always admit he was never the most gifted of players but would put everything on the line to allow these gifted players to perform. Tony all I can say is once a blue always a blue. Just wish I would have had a chance to be looking at the team sheet on a Saturday and saying to myself DOES IT GET ANY BETTER? How can it !!! I'm a scouser and I'm playing for the people's club. Respect mate. NSNO

I would expect any Everton player to do the same for the club. Agreed a daft comment, but then again he's looking to sign a new contract soon, so any sound bite will help. Let's be real, he's a very very average player who had a once in a blue moon good game against Siteh. I still don't rate the lad I've watched him from the Gwladys all his career.

When the time comes, and I hope it's a long time yet, there HAS to be a role for Hibbo at Everton FC. He is a fantastic example to hold up to the younger players - as a lesson in football and a lesson in life.

I love Hibbo, and even if - like most players - he makes the odd mistake from time to time, he's been a fantastic servant for Everton FC...He gives his all every single game and is an example his fellow Pro's..

He was awesome on Tuesday. Tuesday was what Everton is about, the team performance and the crowd. Those who have been and experienced it know, those who haven't don't and will never understand. COYB

Shut up Carl you cantankerous old bastard, he was speaking in a football terms you dickhead! Meaning he would play anywhere in a blue shirt asked of him, or bring down a player to prevent a goal even if it meant being send off and missing a cup final for example. Too many pessimists of this site claiming to be Evertonians, wish they've all do one..............

Great comment by Hibbo. Pity people like Karl, Srpringfield (wherever that is?) have to be negative about a great Evertonian. COYB

Don't be stupid, what a daft comment. Would you leave your wife and kids? Would you play for free Z? Er no, you probably wouldn't Z89!
