Phil Says There's No Inferiority Complex
Bookmark and Share

Captain Phil Neville reckons that Everton do not have an inferiority complex when playing Liverpool, he also intends to prove it next season as he is not hanging up his white boots just yet.

Captain Phil is 35 next year and is planning to play on for The Toffee's. He was asked on his Twitter account if he thought Everton felt inferior to the shite. His reply was curt.

Captain Phil Tweeted: 'No, I don't!'

Then he was asked about his future playing career.

Captain Phil said: 'I'm just concentrating on playing cause I want to play for a bit longer then think about what I want to do. I will be playing again next season, 100%.'

Have we got an inferior complex with the shite or is it Moyesy's tactics?

What do you think?

Oh Phil Phil Phil. Too right we've got a complex against them how do you explain the 3 dismal defeats against them this season. We've got a complex because our manager is a coward who's under the impression that the shite are some major European force. Let me tell you their not. We weren't playing their history[yawn yawn yawn]. We were playing a distinctly average side who recently were unable to beat sides languishing near the foot of the table. So what does our erstwhile manager do? Nicks a goal and sits on it instead of going for the kill. Hes a shit house! That's why them bastards are screaming for 10 more years. Please Philly lad put a sock in it, because believe me you're getting rather tedious.

Saturday was heartbreaking, but just for a sense of balance and perspective their 'worst team for decades' is only one point below us in the league with similar goals for and against. This may have been our best chance in a while, but that doesn't really count for much. Just as Englands 'Golden Generation' for the 2006 World Cup was supposedly the best group of players in years, it doesn't mean other nations hadn't improved. In the end, both their goals came from individual mistakes and were scored by £57million of strikers. Carroll may not be worth his £35million tag, but although Suarez is one of the most unlikeable personalities to have graced the English leagues, he is still a good player. The mentality does need some work. The only player in our team who has been involved in that level of occasion over a consistent period is Phil Neville, and we need new additions to put pressure on those already there. Their heads went - there's no escaping that - but there weren't many changes one could realistically have made. Gueye was a bit like a rabbit in the headlights, but one cannot excuse Drenthe for a breach of club discipline.

He has been a decent player for us, but I hope he is used in a squad rotation system next year. Wingers are getting faster and faster, don't think his legs can take it for much longer!

I wish theyd just stay off Twitter. After spending an absolute fortune to go and have my heart broken and with the up and coming possibility of watching the other lot lift a cup that could have been ours, I dont want to be listening to the scripted standard reaction bollox that comes out from their accounts. They should have done their talking on the pitch. I still feel physically feel sick yet there they are talking about what they are doing today in their ultra privellaged lives - even Rooney on the day of the game felt compelled to tweet Neville telling him to to get off twitter and get his head on the game!!!!

We may not have an "inferior complex" against them but we must have some mental block - their worst team for decades and not only do they do the double over us, they do the treble, smashing us at Analfield in the league game. Ok, you can make excuses of a weakned side we fielded at Anfield, but the Semi was no excuse, once we took the lead we should of gone full pelt at them, put their keeper under pressure, they would of collapsed, but no.............
