Jelavic 100 Year Record Breaker
Bookmark and Share

Nikica Jelavic and Everton were record breakers after the 4-0 win over Fulham.

Jela scored two on Saturday to bring his tally to 10 for the season. He scored the goals in only 910 minutes the fastest by an Everton player for 100 years, since Tom Browell's record 583 mins in 1912.

The full list over the last 100 years is: Jelavic 910 mins, Fred Pickering 955 mins (1964) and Kevin Campbell 1016 mins next best. Browell (1912), Geary Southworth (1890s) are faster.

It's also the first time Everton have scored 4 goals in 3 consecutive games since March 1964.

These stats were provided by Gavin Buckland author of "EVERTON STRANGE BUT BLUE".  His fantastic book is still available at all good book shops and some shit ones too.
