Leon Osman wants to stay at Everton and sees a bright future ahead after celebrating his 300th appearance for the club.
Ossie reached the landmark during Saturday's 4-0 home win over the Cottagers and reflected on the game, his career so far and what he hopes will be a strong end to the season.
Ossie said: 'It felt special to play my 300th game, I've got some great memories, I can remember my first game and the first couple I was involved in really well because of the nerves I had, I was so nervous!'
'They are good memories to have, it is nice to hit a landmark like 300 games for Everton, but hopefully I'm not finished yet. It has worked out that I have always been part of what the manager has built here - and that was the plan.'
'He put me out on loan, but brought me back quickly and after I made my first start (at Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 2004), I seem to have been part of things. I have continued to work hard, do my best for him, and hopefully he will still keep picking me.'
'Our slow start always seems to happen, we get asked the same question at the end of each season - are we frustrated that we didn't start so well, but came good at the end. There is nothing we can do about it right now, we have to carry on playing the good football we are doing now, and look to make the changes at the start of next season.'
Well played Ossie, 42 goals in 300 games and blue through and through. Here's to that big finish to the season and more from Ossie too.
