Moyesy Thanks His Boss

David Moyes believes he is the luckiest manager in the League and it's all down to his Chairman. The relationship he has built with Bill Kenwright over the ten years he has been at Everton has allowed Moyesy to have a free reign on how the football side of the club is run.

I don't there will be many of us whose boss has never said "this isn't good enough". My boss says it me at least once a day.

Moyesy said: "It has been a pleasure to work with Bill for the past 10 years.

"That relationship you have with the Chairman develops over time and if you look around football now you can see that some managers don't have it so good.

"I have been really lucky to have a Chairman who, when things go well, you don't get too high. And, when things go badly, you don't get too low.

"And I can honestly say he has never said to me 'this isn't good enough' - he has made it easy for me and supported me all the way.

"There are lots of things people don't know about Bill Kenwright. They don't know how generous he is in his own life. They don't know how friendly he is with the players - they are his stars - and they respect him."

We are the best performing real team in the prem! I would prefer we stayed in Evertonians hands and kept it honest. The bubble is going to burst on the overspenders soon so Bill and Dave - keep up the good work!

I remember some Everton fans praising Aston Villa and Randy Learners takeover, and why not Everton, and maligning our Chairman ( ok we have our problems) but with McLeish sacking and quoting that he inherited "astronomical" wage bill with little manouvering left to him, who caused this not Houilier, he wasnt there long enough, more likely O'Neil who was seen as i messiah, but now they are three managers down the line nearly 100m in debt and just avoided relegationby 2 points. Compare that with Evertons position and we are in a far healthier position allround I know which camp i would rather be in.

I think both Moyes and Kenwright do their best, but we haven't got the necessary money to push on. It won't change until we get bought and there's nobody buying clubs because the gold rush was over the minute the banks almost went bust. These days some fans are like brasses selling themselves to whatever punter happens along. The situation isn't going to change in a hurry.

Yes Dave, football that is so unattractive that we put four past Sunderland, Man U and Fulham in consecutive games then put 3 past champions league chasing Newcastle, damn I wish we didnt score so many goals. Our football is that bad that our strikers get humiliated with things like 'Player of the Month' and our fans are forced to go to Wembley to watch a match (OK we lost that match but if you ask 16 other teams in the league would they have swapped places with us that day and you'd get a resounding yes). The likes of Villa, West Brom, Blackburn etc must pity Evertonians for having to put up with it.

The table doesn't lie... Now the fat lady has stopped singing let's acknowledge a reasonable season... 6th or 7th is what i realistically expected... of course I hoped for third or fourth but hey... Just come out of the traps a bit earlier next season. I personally believe Bill and David do a fantastic job and i hope to see them at the helm next season too.

how can anyone say we punch above our weight? just look at the players we've got. 8 out of the 10 years moyes has been in charge we've finished in the top 7. if we've been consistantly finishing in those positions then surely we belong there. who below us is better than us?

Ive met Bill a few times, had a few pints with him, and I can honestly say that he loves Everton. It disgusts me when I read the comments of so called 'True Evertonians' bleating about the fact that Everton havent got as much money as everyone else and wanting Bill and the board out (The Blue Onions). Complaining when Blackburn were bought by the Venkys and asking why didnt they buy us!!!! True Evertonians love Everton for what we are, where we come from and what we will be again. Moyesy is right, he is so lucky to have Bill and so are we !!!

Too pally with each other that's why moyes will always lack the drive too push us on to better things that's why he's coming out with shite about the top ten because he must have the safest job in the game so we're his motivation we should not give our opposition any respect on the pitch or in the media let's be ruthless it's the only way

Neither man is ideal or free of faults. They are human beings who make mistakes that are sometimes bad ones, for all that they still make a good team and probably as best as we can get at this moment in the club's history. In the circumstances they have managed very well. I have no time for anyone who manufactures hate for either David Moyes or Bill Kenwright. It's time some people grew up.

There's the problem, Moyes doesnt answer to anyone he isn't told by his boss that he has made a maistake and it shouldn't happen again and therefore we are stuck watching unattractive negative football!!
