Tim Having A Think

Tim Cahill is preparing for Australia's World Cup qualifying against Oman at the moment. He will have a think about his future once the Australian camp is over. It is rumoured that United Arab Emirates club Al Nasr will offer him big money to get his services.

It has been suggested by David Moyes recently that he will be going nowhere, so it be interesting to hear what Tim has to say.

Tim said: "All these sort of elements of speculation will be dealt with after camp. It is always a compliment. I am a massive fan of the Middle East, the cultures, the people.

"I have travelled a lot and I respect them a lot. For me, it is just to focus on the Socceroos and we will see what happens later."

"I know what the experience is like. I have lived and breathed it.

"I have played in two Asia Cups and I have got great connections with a lot of important people overseas.

"I come on holiday in the Middle East a lot and I embrace the weather and the culture."

Callum Cheshire, won't lose any sleep? Cahill is a throwback to times you obviously never saw. He plays for his club, his teammates, his manager and the fans. Never seen him give less than everything, the great goals a bonus, kicking the shite to bits? Like winning the lottery. Proper bloke, great player (who could have jumped shop to any top 4 side) and a gent to boot. If he goes, then good luck to him and his family and cheers for it all.

I reckon we should keep him at Everton. He has had a bad season but one bad season doesn't make him over the hill. What he needs is a complete rest in the summer and not play the pointless games for Australia. He still has something to give the squad and I want him to stay. There were signs towards the end of the season that he and Jelavic could be a good partnership

Timmy will always be a legend at Everton, and to have gotten eight good years out of him has proved great business, as he is surely one of Moyes' best bargain buys. However, I can understand his reasons for wanting one last new challenge, and if it benefits the team in some way, then all the better. I'll miss him though if he does leave.

Tim is legend and will be revered at EFC forever. If he decides to move on then all the best to him. My gut instinct suggests that he will go. If we get a few bob for him then all the better. We must get Peanuts asap. Once DM returns from his holiday let's all hope we approach pre season with a solid plan.

Top player, top man. Don't blame him if he goes for one final big pay day. Good luck Tim. Once a Blue always a Blue.

Over the Moyes years i have had a few favourite players such as Dunc, Stubbs, Gravo and Carsley, players who play with soul and heart for the club, Tim is another and probably the last in the current squad so will be sadly missed, if you go Tim then best of luck and in the words of the big man himself THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.

Tim has been Fantastic at Goodison and some of his goals have been nothing short of Breathtaking, I would still shake his hand before he left and who could blame him for wanting to move his kids to a country that offers a bloody sight more than England. People move on and in Tim's case, He has given us Everything and as much as I have been dreading these rumours, we as True Blues have to say "A Big thank you" and give him the chance to Earn top Dollar, while he is still young ennough to do so.

Sounds like he wants a bit of oil money. Cant blame him if he's only gonna be on the bench most of the time especially with Ross, Jack and whoever else we sign coming. Tim must be one of the big earners, if we can offload him it would free up some cash for some decent youth. Maybe Guthrie and the Crystal Palace right back

I still think Tim has something to offer the blues, probably more as an impact sub rather than a starter these days. However if these teams in the middle east start waving about large sums of money I think we'd really have to consider it. Tim has been fantastic for us and will always be an Everton legend, but at his age if we can get a decent fee we have to consider it, especially if that fee could be used to get Peanuts on a permanent deal.
