David Moyes reckons that he can see plenty of himself in new redshite boss Brendan Rodgers. We toyed around with the Blue Kipper look-a-likes but we could just not see that one Moyesy, we can still only see Moe from The Simpsons. Then we realised that we were on the wrong track.
Moyesy has faced four different redshite bosses whilst in his tenure at Everton but recognises the point in his career that Rodgers now faces as he faced it too.
Moyesy said: 'When I took over at Everton I was certainly young and inexperienced as far as the Premier League went.'
'The managers I was facing at Liverpool have been incredibly experienced - European champions and top, top managers.'
'And the new manager at Liverpool is a top manager as well - but young now - and probably in his own way a little inexperienced a bit like I was when I started at Everton.'
'But Brendan did a great job at Swansea and more than deserves his chance at the top end.'
Let's hope that Moyesy gets one over on his local rival at the first opportunity to help wipe away the memories of last season's three nightmares.
