Our Jack Wants World Cup Place For 2014
Bookmark and Share

Jack Rodwell has targeted securing an England starting place in time for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Our Jack was sidelined for the majority of the 2011-12 Premier League campaign but hopes to regain his fitness next season and stamp his authority on the game.

He has been subject to a supposed £20m bid in the past, from both Manure and Chelski, but through injury and poor form Our Jack's career has gone backwards.

Jack has already played for England at every level and is now setting his sights on becoming an England regular.

Our Jack said: 'The World Cup is every players dream.'

'That's what my next goal is, to keep working hard and trying to get in the England squad."

'There's the likes of Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson, myself and others, that can play regularly.
You look at Manchester United who had Danny Welbeck competing in the Euros, and Phil Jones was there too. There's a good spine of players. I'm sure in the next few years that these players will grow and mature.'

'They say part of the European game is about being able to keep the ball, you look at the likes of Spain and teams like that, so hopefully we'll emulate that.'

'We've got the players to do it, so I think once we put it together, it'll work out.'

Get your Everton career back on track first Jack and the rest will come as a result.

Put your club first Jack the rest will follow if you are good enough ...we are wanting to see the potential that was given in your early days come to fruition with Everton...first and foremost ....

Agree with the sentiments already expressed. Jack needs to commit to getting himself physically fit, mentally fit - cos at times it looks like he doesn't trust his own body to stand up to the pace of the Premiership - and aiming to cement a place in the Everton first team. Talk of England is cheap and totally inane for a talented prospect who has done precious little. Come on Jack, make us proud of you !!!

Rodwell really needs to do something this season or he will be playing championship football when the world cup comes round in 2014.

Jack has an awful lot to prove, but still has time. I think we all hope that his injuries clear up and he starts to show us what he can do. This season he appeared to be a player carrying an injury,to be too hesitant, too many sideways and nothing passes, a million miles away from that gung ho show when we beat Utd 3-1, thats the type of Rodwell that we all hope we will see in the next season, lets hope his injuries clear up and he certainly is being given plenty of time for his hamstring problems to clear up

why dont you try being good enough for everton first. Rodders has been a 'Youngster' for how many years now. Lets face it, he isnt up to it. No passion, No drive, too slow, lazy and he disappears out of games. Its no coincidence that when he had a run in the team earlier in the season we were poor. As soon as he went out of the team we started playing! Darron Gibson and Fellaini have to be our centre mid next season, Gibson cannot even get into the Ireland team, yet as far as im concerned, rodders isnt fit to lace his boots. Stop talking about England and concentrate on your club game. You havent progressed in 4 years. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!
