With the bulk of the first team squad, who have had international duty this summer, still away it's been left to a few to lead the kids.
Hibbo, Ossie and Our Jack have been showing the youngsters how pre-season training should be done and you can expect all three to feature in today's first pre-season friendly at Morecambe.
Hibbo can't wait.
Hibbo said: 'The lads are good players but they are young as well and need experience, that is why they have been training with us.'
'Hopefully a bit of our experience is rubbing off on them because that is how you learn your football. You learn a hell of a lot as a young player being around the older lads. They are keen and are always at the front when we are running so they kind of pull us all along.'
'Individually they are all different but if they want any advice they know we are here to help them. They are a good bunch, a mixture, some are quiet and some loud but they respect us and are keen to show us what they can do on the pitch.'
'I can't wait to play. We have been training hard but the players just want to play football. You get your main fitness from playing games because you can only do so much running.'
Will Hibbo lead the team out in his testimonial year or will Ossie be wearing the captain's armband today?
