Pienaar Signing Is Icing On The Cake

Has he signed yet? Yes. At last!

Steven Pienaar held up his new Everton number 22 shirt at Finch Farm today after signing a four year contract and declared he was 'excited to play for Everton'.

David Moyes said after signing Naismith that his priority was to sign Steven Pienaar. Its took longer than the fans and we're sure the manager expected, but a £4.5m deal has been struck.

Peanuts said:  "I am happy to be here. It took a few weeks to sort out but I am delighted to be back and excited to play for Everton.

"There was no doubt in my mind that I would be back here. At the end of the season I told the manager how I felt and I am happy now it is all done."

At last! I am finally at ease over this whole saga. Levy has held out to try and disrupt our pre-season preparations. Hard work that prick! That's why I was always confident that Moyes wasn't interested in the Spurs job. AVB won't last long there. Shame really, because I think he's a decent manager. As for Pienaar.... He's come back and admitted he was wrong to go in the first place. That's fair enough. He is forgiven. For me he was the priority, and I though that by getting him alone, and not losing any of our main men, we would have had a decent summer. Cahill leaving was half expected, and it remains to be seen whether we'll miss him or not. Naismith is a bonus and I hope he can deliver and prove to be another in a long list of smart signings. I'm looking forward to the season now and just hope we don't start it in the usual fashion, like an arl' Cortina on a cold morning. Who knows? The way Moyes plays the loan market, we might get another rough diamond in to help us along the way. Things look brighter than this time last year anyway!

If we get Donovan on the right then we're as good as Gold! Dare we dream?

Great news! Let's hang on to Leighton and our other quality players. He gives us greater balance and more options. The service into Jelly will be much stronger.

Well Done Lads, Moysey, Bill and the rest of the Everton back room people who never get praised for all their work in the background... Now Mr Pienaar Remember to print a few new shirts! IE: GOD is great! But EVERTON ARE BETTER.... The Grass is not always Greener on the other Side! OR Everton! Nils Satis Nisi Optumum... I am a big fan of yours, now show us what you are made of and show Harry he made a balls up by not playing what I consider to be one of the best Midfielder`s in England....

Made up he is back, just a shame we had to spend an extra £1.5m, according to some rags he is on £70k a week too! Our main priority now has got to be keep the rest of the squad together, no outgoing transfers with the exception of maybe Victor, but only if somebody else is lined up to come in. Yes our right wing could do with improving but if necessary Naismith can play there. He said so himself. Howard in goal, Baines, Johnny, Distin, Hibbert across the back. Pienaar and Naismith on the flanks, Gibson and Rodwell in the middle with Fellaini supporting Jelavic up top. With that starting XI and the likes of Barkley, Coleman, Osman, Velios, Mcaleny, Neville, Jagielka, Gueye, Cisco Jr etc. providing a good mix of quality, youth and experience on the bench I think we can have a great season. COYB! Cant wait for Blackpool now.

I really hate Spurs, vile, weasely, money grabbling little parasites of the game. They ripped us off when they bought him, and ripped us off selling him back to us. Horrible, nasty, soulless, capitalist, bankers of the game. The printed media love Spurs so much it's unreal, and most commentators have the spurs cock so far down their throat they can barely get their words out. I dearly hope everything that can go wrong for them this season does do, and they finish well below us. I'd even give the redshite my support in a game between the two. They disgust me to my bones.

Well chuffed welcome home peanuts, let's get Owen in on the right contract, then slam the door shut keep the books nice and tight, we've got great youth coming through and Naismith was a good signing, but if we sell baines, johnny or screech all this hard work will be in vain. Keep it as it is and Goodson will be full every week again.

At last!!! That should be it now. Tell the press we're not interested in buying anybody else and are not willing to listen to ANY offers for any of the team.

Great news for everyone, the fans, for Steven but maybe mostly for the team as i think all the players know what a special player and how important he is to the team. Sir Alex must be gutted as theres know chance of Bainsy leaving now. Two top players in and there may still be time for some surprises, its a long time since Everton fans have been so optimistic about the start of a new season Onwards and upwards THE BLUES

Great signing, now for a Right back and a pacey right sided midfelder eg Donovan ideal. Someone to take pressure of Jelvic eg Defoe or maybe Owen, 3 players short of a top top team.

It's about time, Howard Hibbert/Heitinga/Distin/Baines Naismith/Gibbo/Osman/Nuts Fella Jelavic - Mucha/Nev/Jags/Gueye/Barkley/Anichebe/Vellios Not sure on the centre-halves to be honest, why I've left Jags on the bench, but nobody can convince me that team can't challenge for top five.

There was every doubt that he would be back at Everton as they don't have 2 halfpennies to rub together. They have now broken the bank for him.
