Everton legend Joe Royle believes Jack Rodwell could face a struggle to establish himself following his move to Manchester City.
Our Jack completed a quick switch to Sitteh on Sunday for an initial fee of £12m and signing a five year contract. Lucky boy. Or is he?
Big Joe thinks Our Jack will find it tough to make his way into Mancini's starting line-up at Sitteh, but says the move could well work out best for all parties.
Big Joe said: 'I can see plus points for both sides.'
'Manchester City have bought English and they have bought potential, a player with youth on his side.'
'He's a good athlete who can play in a number of positions, but for Everton, who need the money now, I can see it being a good sale.'
'Jack is not going to get in the side before Yaya Toure, and when you look at the likes of De Jong, Milner, Silva, Barry, there's intense competition there. Manchester City have paid for potential.'
'He burst onto the scene when he scored a goal against Manchester United in 2010 and his name was on everyone's lips. There was immediate interest from Chelsea and Manchester United at the time, which has since faded.'
'The young man is going to have to stay fit, because that has been a problem for him in the past. And then he can try to pick up the threads of his career, because he has never even really been a regular for Everton.'
We said Joe. We have the money in the bank, with possibly more to come, let's hope Moyesy gets a sniff of it and spends wisely.
