Remember The Night Duncan Destroyed Them
Bookmark and Share

Nobody can argue that Marouane Fellaini's performance against Man Utd was ten out of ten. Felli was unbelievable on the night. Plenty of Evertonians recalled the night Dunacn Ferguson destroyed Rio and United and how it reminded them of that famous game.

Tim Howard agrees: "It was the best here against them since Duncan. It was dominant, classy in a lot of ways but some of it was determination and real grit too"

"Duncan had the same make-up in terms of being able to dominate someone for 90 minutes. I was happy to be on the right end of it this time"

"United just couldn't cope with him. There's a certain point at which you say it's impossible to defend against him because he's so tall, and takes up such good positions you either have to come through the back of him and concede a foul, or stop him controlling it with his chest, which is hard"

I do remember that night when Big Duncan gave Ferdinand a right chasing, so much so that Rio went missing for the goal. Just couldn't hack it. Man U finished with 9 men after Scholes and Gary Neville got sent off. What a match! Great to see the big man back at Goodison on Monday (And best wishes to Kevin Sheedy, hope he's soon on the mend)

I remeber that cold Saturday back in 1995 when Dunc destroyed Pallister and Bruce probably the most memorable but Fellaini is somethng else and he's going to get better. COYB
