Felli Wants To Leave
More Marouane Fellaini
This is seriously bad news if it's true. Marouane Fellaini has been reported in the Flemish newspaper Het Nieuwsblad that this will be his last season at Everton.
It has a habit of popping up with Felli. But David Moyes will not be happy with this coming out like this.
Felli has started the season in superb form and we need him to continue playing to that high standard.
Fellaini said: "I am just starting my fifth season at Everton, this will be one of my last. I have seen everything. In January or at the end of the season I will turn to another club or championship."
What's your take on this?

Its not about holding it against Felli for wanting to better his career, its about expecting him to return the respect and trust the club has shown him, there is a right time and professional way to air his true feelings, and thats in moyes' office! NOT 3 games into a premier league season, to a newspaper, jeopardizing the great start and buzz we blues have waited so long for!!

Paul @29 you're wrong M8! His extended contract plus young age and ability to make the opposition look like Keystone Cops puts him easily in the 30mill bracket! Would be even more if he learned to be more of a team player and kept his elbows to himself! The guy is pure skill ladies and gents! but not much else...sadly!!

Doug @ 27, if you think we'd get 30 mill for him you are living in lala land. 20 mill tops and I'd snatch their hand off. More like 18 mill.

@Tim Postma. What Planet are you on? Marouane Fellaini is one of if not THE best player in our squad and by far our most valuable assett. He would slot into any top european team and to say he is 'overrated' is just delusionel.

I don't believe his tweet or Facebook fess up of "nah nah we cool brov in it!" And neither should you! He didn't even deny it! Just said how surprised he was that it got out (being all in Belgium n all) and how happy he was in Liverpool (LFC watch this space xD)! He may have dissed the club and royally screwed the pooch (like the one on his head lol) But truth of the matter is, I'm not at all bothered! He's good! But he's no Pienaar! Like most on here! I say let's get 30 mil and move on!

If you read his fan page on Facebook this is not true.
This is some made up story in a Belgium newspaper blown out of proportion.
Why would he put iin a good word about Kevin Mirallas then want to leave.

So he's just said on his facebook fan page that it was a suprise to read the article, lost in translation or a load of rubbish, he'll leave at some point in the future but no upsetting of the early season apple cart just yet

Couldn't care less!
Overrated player. Not good enough for the big clubs in Europe!
Glad he signed a contract in november. Sell to the highest bidder immediately!

Just posted the same story on the sky sports website, if he does go I will be gutted, but we will receive a good fee, probably over 20mil, and he has served us well, so it could be good business

Didnt we hear something similar a few monthsago, he got a new deal more money he signs for five years, he is a tremendous player look at the games against man u , this season and last, he deserves champions league football, over to you moysey ,tell him when we will9x get there
alby, walton, 8:28 PM 9/09/2012

It was obvious at West Brom that he was sulking and on the money these buggers are on that is not acceptable. I would expect a surgeon at Broad Green to try his hardest even if he was looking to move to Papworth next month. And they get paid a damn sight less than Mr F.

It's probably true of a few players in our squad so no surprise. The challenge is if the club suits don't prepare for the moment it happens, contracts in place, buy outs at the right price, sell ons, buy backs etc... Everyone has a price, his is higher this year than next and a lot more than the year after...we loved everton before he turned up, will do once he's gone.. Sell him abroad though.
Nyblue, Usa, 7:21 PM 9/09/2012

If that's how he feels then let him go but let's make sure we get megabucks for him.
Seamus, Litherland, 6:22 PM 9/09/2012

Fair enuff most of us did expect the big man to move on soon and I would never have a go at some one for wanting to better their career if the opportunity came about however to come out publicly 4 games into the new season and say what he has said is bang out of order. No one is bigger than the club
David, Liverpool, 5:57 PM 9/09/2012

When he's good he's a monster. Only Toure can outdo him.
When he's lacking motivation he can slow us down. Hope he stays because it will be because we've had a solid season. If he goes I can live with it so long as we get a good fee and the majority, if not all, goes to Moyes.
Jon G, Merseyside, 5:56 PM 9/09/2012

Latchford !!!!!! He was loyal to the blues to the very end. He left at a time in his career when his performances had dipped and the St End let him know about it. To say Latchford was greedy and in the same category as Fellani is an insult to a true Goodison Legend !!!!!
John, Netherton, 5:28 PM 9/09/2012

He's been with us four years not five as it says in that article. If he goes he goes, fuck all we can do about it. From what I've heard his Dad is a right whopper to deal with and that might be the centre of these stories. I'll be surprised if he stays in England if he does go. More likely Real Madrid or Barcelona, probably Real if Ronaldo leaves them, he's having a hissy fit at the moment as well. Gets more like a fucking circus every day.
Tony, Stoneycroft, 3:32 PM 9/09/2012

I agree totally wth Andy and Phil H. He thinks he's better than he is. Moyes thinks the sun shines from his behind and no player is bigger than this great club.

If we qualify for the Champions League he will have no need to leave at the end of the season.

Phil H #7 - how the hell can you put Alan Ball in that list? Catterick practically pushed him out the door. On your knees and beg for mercy from the greatest player ever to wear the blue shirt.
Not sure about Latchford or Lineker either for that matter. Don't recall either of them instigating their moves, the club were just happy to sell.

A pity if true, but there's nothing you can do if a player wants to leave. He's like any employee in any other job in a free country. If he goes we'll just have to get as much out of the deal as we can, but we're not in a strong financial position and other clubs know that and will use it as part of negotiations. We'd do the same. All this assumes the story is true and not some agent or Fellaini's Dad blowing a bubble.
Spectator, Crosby, 2:33 PM 9/09/2012

If its true, quite simply if screech doesn't want 2 stay.
Get as much money as possible...No one is bigger than the club..

if true i like many will be gutted, but signed 5yr deal last nov,so it will take a big offer to get him, can't knock him for wanting champs league/euro football (who doesn't?)and i think we can achieve that this season,if he wants go to a big club so be it,but he may have forgot that he is already at a MASSIVE club, and the grass ain't always greener,no player is bigger than EVERTON

I really don't understand why so many fans react the way they do to these things.
In fairness, he is one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League - especially given his versatility. He would have given us 5 years and those clubs that regularly play in the Champions League will be interested.
So why shouldn't he make the most of his career? Both in terms of earnings and also in terms of winning things?? Isn't that what WE do with our careers?
How many times will people react like this? Ball, Latchford, Lineker, Rooney, Lescott (and many more). No player is bigger than any club.
If he wants to stay - great. If he wants to go, we will get a good fee. He could have stuffed us a while ago.

I think we all know this will be fellaini last season. It was obvious at the end of last season. Tbh I can imagine the club have said a similar thing to him. They know thy can get fat wedge for him. It suits all parties really. I was just happy he signed a new contract so the club get big money rather than running down his contract like pienarr did and was so easily welcomed backed. But next summer with a big transfer fee and his wages off the bill with wise investment we could have a stronger squad than this year.

It's amazing how some stupid rumour comes out and fans jump on their players back picking faults with them, grow up you helmet.

Naah. He just sold the club to Miralles. Convinced him it was the club to sign for. This isn't right.

Never known a player like him to blow hot and cold. Another jerk full of his own self importance In my opinion has gone missing in many games. Lacks pace got no left foot and until recently had a discipline problem had a couple of great games against united and villa and suddenly thinks he's the dogs testicles. Shut the door on your way out s

He signed a 4 year contract last November didn't he? So if he's on his toes we'll get a load of dosh for him, particularly if he has a good season. The papers also quote him saying he wants euro qualification and experience at this stage of his career, so when we get into Champs League for next season he'll probably want to stay!
