Fellaini Sets The Record Straight

Maroune Fellaini has come out on facebook and twitter and put the record straight over the article which appeared in Flemish newspaper.

Dear friends,

I have walked the press these last hours and to my surprise, some journalists announce my departure from Everton in next January.

As I have often said you, I am very pleased to Everton as after my contract extension, the team has been strengthened with the arrival of Kevin Mirallas.

Our end of last season has allowed us to prove our place in the Premier League and the direction was confirmed in recent weeks. I am very pleased with our start of Championship and I'll be concentrated for the rest of the season with Everton.

However, my only concern is currently of course the match Tuesday against Croatia.

Whether you are in Belgium or in England, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support...

Marwan.

So there you go! What do you think?

Listen folks...LOST IN TRANSLATION. Listen when Felli speaks at interviews. The poor guy has difficulty making sense in English, so the papers take out of his ramblings what they think they hear. Just another cheap rag trying to cause problems. And if he did say what they reported, well we only want players who want to play for us. If he wants to go, let him go. No player is better than the club. Sadly in our day and age, it's all about money for a lot of them. And to be fair, the players only have on average 10-15 years in a job, so they need to make their money whilst they can. But I agree wages are out of hand. It will all come crumbing down soon.

Holdo in the Upper Bullens are you joking? Stick him in the rezzies? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face, no wonder kopites call us bitter if they are hearing comments like that. All that would achieve is the lad losing form and fitness and therefore bringing his value down, so Everton dont get the benefit of his ability on the pitch and lose out on money from his transfer off the pitch, thats if he is transferred. There is no proof Maro said the original comments as they were just printed in a paper with no evidence backing them up. His official sites however did have a statement saying he plans on staying. If he goes then I will be gutted because he is a great player and letting him go will not only weaken the team but send out a message that we are a selling club, however if and when it happens we need to get top dollar for him and as Dave "you what" Son said make sure he puts a shift in every game until then. Oh and Lee in Rainford if every time somebody 'had it on good authority' or 'from a good source' the transfer actually happened everton would probably be the best team in the world now. until he is stood in another teams ground holding their shirt up with his name on it then dont believe the rubbish these papers spout

Naughty agents me thinks - "Go on Marouane, talk about leaving and while you are playing this well they will offer you mega bucks..." tut tut!! Be surprised if he goes especially now Super Kev has just joined. Let's not make a big deal of it he's a modern day footballer that sadly we common folk have to listen to moan about thousands of £'s per week i.e. Ronaldo, Real Madrid (world's biggest club) whinging over a quarter mil a week?! Give me a break try getting by on £25000 a year like the rest of us who pay YOUR wages you selfish bastards

Why is everyone bitching? He's dismissed the article. The national press in other countries interview their top players who play in in other countries. They want to portray them as superstars. So my guess is that they have asked loaded questions about him going to play for Real Madrid or someone, questioning his ambition to play in the Champions League. He has then given an answer, probably saying he is happy where he is at the moment but you never know what the future holds. If Everton attain a Champions League place (not unrealistic when you seriously look at Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle and seriously consider if they are ahead of us in terms of quality) or find investment from someone, somewhere, then I fully expect him to stay for a long time. If someone offered enough for him next summer or even in January, Everton are not in a position to refuse a bid of £20m+ are they? We will all be gutted if he leaves, and anyone who has turned against him all of a sudden is a fickle t#*t! Put yourself in his shoes. If you were Belgian, 24 and playing for Everton, which is a big club, but has not regularly challenged for major honours since the 80's, is shackled by serious lack of funds and last won the league before you were even born. A club like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or the like want you. What would you do? I personally think it's bollocks. Tabloid press is unreadable sensationalism that only exists to cause mass hysteria and give idiots something to jangle about. I'll believe it when he's holding a shirt with his name and number on it at The Bernabeu or somewhere!

I'll say the same I say to every article reporting a player leaving. If Fellaini wants to go then fuck off and go now! We've lost better players than you and still been ok. If you don't want to play for the blues great, pack up your kit and go! No player is bigger than the club!

He'll be off at the end of the season if not January, as the article hints even though he's signed a four year contract. I'd stick him in the rezzies until then. One good game and he think's he's the dog's bollox

So it was all a pile of shite. Why does anybody believe a word in the rags? They're all liars and always have been.

It's good that he's squashed the rumours, at least for now anyway. He says 'ready to play all the season' which makes me wonder about next summer, but hey, the season's just started and Everton are looking good - lets worry about next summer next summer..when we have secured European football :)

In a nutshell, "I'm not leaving in January, but I could go at the end of the season." Sad, but invitable really given the lack of belief in our ability from many ppl inside the club. Captain Phils recent comments confirm this, but his subsequent comments about finishing in a champions league place being a miracle was an extremely disappointing contradiction.

All players are under contract, all players are free to request a transfer, all players will one daye leave - either voluntarily or because they are no longer required (Execpt Hibbert who is part of the plumbing). Fellaini will leave when he wants - until then we should just make sure he puts in a full day's work every Saturday.

I think the tabloids went to his Fuzz a bit these last 2 weeks and he's started the smoke signals to come and get him! Anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly deluding themselves! Sorry! Anyway we've got him for another 4 years coz they're not exactly banging down the doors to sign him now are they? Or did we miss something in the last transfer window that made him think otherwise? It might explain why he lit the pitch on fire for the 1st 2 weeks and then bombed in the last game as soon as the transfer window closed (ok so it wasn't just him). Even though he had a nasty bout of Tevezitis during the international break, he did sign on the dotted line when we needed him to! If only Moyes would follow suit! For all we know, his hesitancy to sign may be causing unrest within the team. Over to you Moyes!

I think its time people chilled out a bit with this. the impression the lad gives is that he is honest, respectful and humble. he is also a great professional and is now coming into the form for which Moyes paid £15m. In any walk of life, people move on and if the likes of Madrid, Barcelona etc come knocking then the lad has to go. I do not see him going to another English club especially if he maintains his form, he really will be a £40m+ player. if we use the Dalglish valuation method then he would bring double that. This should all stop now and let the lad play his football.

I think the frizzy haired turd did say it...he certainly hasn't publicly said that he didn't. Two good games and he is thinking about his next move...before our season is properly underway. Play your heart out then Marouane, get us into the top 4/5 and earn your move.

Not exactly saying he's staying there is he? Just backtracking his stupidity. He wants to go. Get £30m. Let him go. Get Steven Defour in for £15m and spend the other £15m on a striker.

I found the official translation. Guys, I was very surpised to read in some newspapers that I will leave Everton very soon and perhaps next January. Let me remind you that I am very happy in Liverpool and our start of the championship was good. Kevin Mirallas and some other good players joined us to make a better squad in order to realize a good championship in the line of the end of the last one. So with Everton, I am ready to play all the season and to reach our goals of this season. However, my only concern for the moment is of course our (Red Devils) Tuesday's game against Croatia. Whether you're in Belgium or England, thank you from my heart for your support … Marouane
