Moyesy Non-Committal On Pardew
Bookmark and Share

David Moyes has refused to get involved in a war of words ahead of tonights with Newcastle United despite Alan Pardew claiming at the end of last season that his side were operating in a different league to Everton.

The statement has been brought up once again but Moyesy is non-committal.

Moyesy said: "People can say what they like in terms of where Everton are compared to Newcastle. I thought they did great last year as they kept it going when people thought they would fade away."

"For a long time they were very close to being a Champions League team. But we have been in strong positions. They finished above us last season. You are only as good as your last one and in the last one they did better than us. Over the years we've done pretty well with the resources we have available to us."

Well said Moyesy.

This was not the first time Pardew has had a dig at us, at West Ham he once said they gave us a "footballing lesson" after beating us 2-1!

Let's hope our boots do the talking tonight and Pardew is firmly put in his place.

Typical Pardew comments he reminds me of ex Villa boss Gregory, loves the media attention if he was a lolly pop he'd lick himself to death.

Pardew is an obnoxious prick who is as overrated as his team. His 2 match ban for pushing an official was a joke, at least that's what he thought as he laughed about it on match of the day. Can you imagine if Barton or Balotelli had put a hand on an official, we'd be talking lifertime ban. Hope we stuff them and shut the bastard up.

Pardew always talks sh1t, why are you still going on about this off last year? As Frankie already said it's out of context. We don't like how he's a rent-a-quote with no class but there's nothing us fans can do is there?

Personally I think what he said was pretty harmless and probably taken out of context. I just hope Jagielka coming out and slagging them off and saying how he's going to stop Demba Ba and Cisse doesn't come back and bite him on the ar5e.

Are we really still taking those comments out of context? They were referring to the transfer market... and the rest of the interview has Pardew saying that the Barcodes over achieved to finish above us last season. Mountains and molehills....

Does anyone know what Pardew said? I have never seen a quote in any of these articles?

If there is any Karma in the world then we should win by 3 or 4 toninght but i'd even be happy with a 1-0 win as long as we win. Seems like Pardew wants to establish his team in the "best of the rest category" even though they had one good season with which they only ended up in the Europa league. Let's just let our Footballing do the talking and maybe make Pardew eat his words! COYB!!

I wouldn't pay the slightest attention to Pardew. As soon as Newcastle fade he'll be just another one of the cockney mafia the Geordies want kicked out!
