Everton Confirm Fellaini Injury
Bookmark and Share

Everton have confirmed that Marouane Fellaini has injured his knee and withdrawn from the Belgium squad.

The club has confirmed that the hairy one will miss the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Scotland.

But the reports that he will be out for three weeks have not been confirmed, as Everton want to assess his injury before they give a return to action date.

Felli had a scan on his knee in Belgium. Everton medical staff have seen his scans and will assess him fully when he returns to Finch Farm on Monday.

Despite him being one Lucky SOB to stay on the pitch against Wigan, Felli (faults an all) isn't the real issue! Is it me or is Phil losing it a bit out there? It's all very well when we close up shop and every man is in their own half, but this new attacking style of play is not best suited to him! Harsh I know but, how man games do we have to witness him throw a whitey before we bring on Tommy who we all know couldn't do much worse? Enough already with the favouring of Lovies and let's get down to business! The Battle will always be won and lost in Midfield! At the moment, that's our weakest link!

Well if we HAVE to lose him for a few matches I suppose bottom of the league QPR should be one of them. He doesn't play well against Liverpool either. So maybe it's for the best. Yes, I'm trying to be optimistic!

I agree to a certain extent Carl. I certainly don't go along with the doom mongers that our season, or even our start to the season, is over. Fellaini is immense when he is on form, nobody disagrees with that. But too often he is actually...wait for it...a waste of space. Simply 'ruffling up' opposition players is not good enough. I wouldn't have been opposed to Moyes dropping a fit Fellaini for a game or 2 to give other players a chance and show him the reality of the situation. So having him injured for a month or so is a similar outcome for me. The Blues march on.

I know y'all going to think I'm mad saying this, but Everton play better when we run out of options! Fellaini's last 2 games weren't his best so it's just as well (Any Fellaini Purist can bight me coz it's the truth!) So long as we don't play Phil or Johhny in Mid field then we'll be ok! :X
