Jack Pleased With City

Jack Rodwell has had a mixed start for his new club. But he is still pleased he made the move.

Their Jack said: "I'm young and English. I've not got a bad word to say about City. If they want you and sign you, then they have got intent for you.

"I was not guaranteed a starting place at Everton. I had a lot of injuries, Darron Gibson and Marouane Fellaini were in form, so it was a push for me to get in that side."

"It has been hard to adjust. I was at Everton from the age seven.

"Being there 14 years meant any move was going to be big. The methods and styles are very different. The respective managers are very different. The standard of training is amazing."

Did Moyesy call it right getting £15m for Jack?

Moyes selling Jack Rodwell to City, is the best bit of business Everton have done since we sold Joleon Lescott to City for £23m. That transfer made Lescott the third most expensive centre back ever! They overpaid massively! He's a good centre back, he was a good performer for Everton but realistically he's not a £23m aplayer. Getting £15m for a lad who scored two wonder goals in Europa League game ages ago, who was promised to Evertonians as "The next Steven Gerrard" has been pretty much average and injured ever since! I like Jack Rodwell, I wanted him to do well, we all did, but even Jack himself will admit, his performances at Everton were not good enough to warrant rejecting £15m transfer offer that was based on "potential". Given that Kevin Mirallas was top scorer in Greece for Olympiakos netting 20+ goals in style, earning himself the nickname he had before he came to Everton "The Belgian Ronaldo"! He appears an absolute steal given his performances so far, and do remember he had no pre season and has not been playing at full fitness in his short but positive start to his Everton career. We appear to have a player who looks like an will dazzle in the coming season with an array of dribbling and goal scoring skills, add to the lightening pace and you have a player we have not had at Everton before, a player with the "Ronaldo mentality" and the skill to back it up. I'm not saying he is as good as Ronaldo or one second, but the lad looks special. I'm looking forward to watching him against QPR after the International break' in which he scored for Belgium. £15m for Rodwell, and Mirallas for.£6m is Genius!

He did well that Rodwell! Glad he's got a nice cushty contract with a big fat income! He played a crucial part in netting the club Millions to for Mirallas and Nuts! I finally get now what Moyes meant all them years ago when he said he's going to pay a big part in Everton's future!

It was a superb piece of business given Jack's injury record and the affect on his development. To me he always looked like greatness was within his grasp but for one reason or another he just couldn't make the leap. He's still young enough to make the breakthrough and for his sake I hope he does. But the transfer was the right thing at the right time for all parties. We got the money and he got the chance to start over. Just as long as he doesn't do the business against us!

Great bit of business to get £15m for him. No hard feelings toward the lad and he will always be liked at Goodison. He just never really did anything for everton on a consistent basis and his injuries mean he might struggle to become a regular anywhere. A couple of seasons ago people were saying £20-25m based on potential. That was never fulfilled at Everton so £15m represents pretty good business - especially when you see how the money was spent

The choice was a no brainer, as much as I like Jack ! The options were Jack, Felli or Baines and the latter two are pivotal to our plans at Goodison where as Jack has not quite reached his potential just yet. Some of the money went on speed and flair in the shape of Kevin Marallas and we know already that we will give us a Goal threat and a Goal return every time he pulls on a shirt. I really hate seeing young, home drown talent leave Everton, but i do tend to live in the Hear & Now age. This was fantastic business by Bill and Moyesie

Best bit of business Moyesy has done for years. Just dont see him making it any time soon and we got Mirallis and Pienaar in return and paid some debt off. Good luck to him though.

So sad that we havent got the resources to hang on to a great prospect like Jack and see him go to the worlds richest club.

Saw him tonight in U21s; very low on confidence, then went off at half-time with an injury, that could keep him out for a while. For that 15 million, Mirallas or Pinnar easily justify the sale. If Moysey can get 30 mill+ for Fallaini, then he should (when the lad's is interested, he's brilliant, when he's not, he's a bit of a passenger), and then buy 2 or 3 other squad members, to strengthen our challenge for a European place.

Moyes' got it dead right over Rodwell. What has changed for him that has 'made him a better player at Sitteh? He is still a sub and he is still unavailable for the U21s as he is injured. As Lawrence said we have saved in medical bills never mind his wages!!!!

The blunder pass he played against Borussia Dortmund could cost Sitteh a few more millions. We got a great deal there, thankyou Roberto.

You would save 15m on the medical bills alone !!!
