Alex Nyarko's stop start career has stopped again. When he wasn't at Leigh RMI yesterday, some wags thought he may have gone awol again, but no he's been given permission to speak to some un-named Chinese clubs. Ian Ross says: "We have given Alex Nyarko permission to speak to a couple of clubs in China. He has flown out to the Far East to meet with representatives. We expect to learn within 2-3 days whether or not he'll be joining either of them." We wonder if one of those clubs is Li Tie's Liaoning Badao club. Now that would be nice. Then the scorer of Everton's second goal yesterday will finally become an Everton player. (26/07/03) Get In The Queue David Moyes has hinted to Alex that he has a long way to go before he will get a go in the first team. Moyesy said: "We don't really know anything about Alex. We have a lot of players here who have worked really hard and they will be given the nod ahead of Alex because he has only just returned. He wasn't keen to stay at the club when he went out on loan two years ago but he is back now and we are giving him every chance to prove himself. But as a player, we know very little about him."(24/07/03) Number 21 Alex Nyarko has been given the number 21 shirt for the season, which must be a massive vote of confidence for him. Anyway he has a chance to prove himself tomorrow night when he puts the shirt on again when he will play against an Austrian Second Division side. Allegedly Alex was asking the kit man for some velcro strips. What for we wonder. Moyesy said:"We probably won't play any of the internationals tomorrow night, but Alex will play some part. The games are against low-key opposition and will just form an extension to the training sessions. We will still train on the days of the matches and they're just designed to get the lads back playing with a football again."(16/07/03) First Impressions Alex Nyarko has been giving it his all in training to impress the his new boss and up to now he seems to have made a good start to his "new" Everton career. David Moyes said: "Alex has come in and done well. It’s taken him a day or two to get back into the swing of things, but we can’t fault his training at present. He’s gone about his work in an excellent fashion. Before he came back, I’d only seen him play once for Everton in a pre-season friendly when I was managing Preston and he did extremely well on that day. So, we’ll wait and see.”(10/07/03) Bollocks! Ok
the gloves are off on this one now as The Invisible Man says he is not
fazed about a return to Highbury, the scene of HIS and Stephen Price's
crimes two years ago. Nyarko Ready..... Alex Nyarko returned to Bellefield today declaring he is ready to put the nightmare of the past two years behind him and pull on the Blue shirt of Everton once again. In a frank and exclusive interview with evertonfc.com the Ghanaian star reveals how it is God’s will he is back at Goodison 27 months after the infamous Highbury incident. Nyarko vowed never to play for Everton again after supporter Stephen Price confronted him on the pitch during the April 2001 meeting with Arsenal and offered to trade shirts in an angry and frustrated protest. (04/07/03) The PFA must be expecting a bit of ruck when Alex Nyarko gets back to Everton next week, as they are sending Mick McGuire, deputy chief executive of the PFA, to act as a referee. They are concerned about the reaction of the fans. Blue Kipper are confident that the fans will back any player who puts on a blue shirt 100%. The PFA should ensure that Alex Nyarko gives 100%. Mick McGuire says: "Obviously when the player returns we will make ourselves available to him and offer our support. We will certainly contact the club as well. Clearly in this situation a solution isn't going to be found that suits both parties, so we hope there will be a sensible handling of the situation. There is no point having him if he doesn't want to play there and in today's transfer climate Everton are not going to get anywhere near the amount they paid for him. Everton are keen to protect their position but perhaps some sort of arrangement can be made. It's not an easy one, and the lad is clearly desperate to return unless he can somehow turn over a new leaf and get the fans back on his side. He's got an outstanding manager in David Moyes so you hope a solution can be arrived at." (27/06/03) Nyarko Back Next Week Alex 'the invisible man' Nyarko, the man who said he would never play for Everton again is due back next Thursday, 3rd July with the rest of the players for pre-season training. In this ludicrous situation in which no other club want him, Everton will have a new training kit waiting for him. Dunford says: "We start paying Alex again on July 1. We have spoken to him and expect him to report for pre-season training on July 3." (26/06/03) The invisible man still can't find a club. If he doesn't get one by 30th June, he'll return to us for pre-season training & we start paying his £10,000 a week wages, which is currently being paid by Paris St Germain. The club he walked out on over a month ago. Confused? you will be. Chief Executive Michael Dunford says: "Unless any interest in him materialises between now and then, we fully expect Alex Nyarko to return to Bellefield in July. We have had one or two tentative enquiries about him, but nothing serious." (07/05/03) Next Stop Strasbourg - Don't Hold Your Breathe! After his proposed move to Qatar based club Al-Etehad collapsed over the weekend, there is more rumours that French club Strasbourg are interested, but they would want him on a long-term loan deal, whereas we want to off load the quilt for some dosh. Tune in Tomorrow for the latest edition of "Hergés Adventures of Nyarko." (11/03/03) Qatar! Makes You Want To Spit! Will
he never go away? We just want the Cadbury's, he wants away, PSG don't
want him so he starts crying, tells the world he's got money troubles
(well we'll all be very sympathetic to that one!) & that he ONCE AGAIN
intends to pack in football. That was yesterday! Tears for Nomarko The Invisible Man appeared at Goodison last week, but we don't believe it. Surely somebody would have seen him. He was there to see what the score was on getting a transfer away from Everton, after he walked out on PSG. We would have thought that the answer would have been, " No fuckin' chance. Now get yer arse back to Paris, & make it snappy." Well maybe it was, because it was reported that he left, visibly shaken, & in tears. This man is unreal. Some of the things he says are unbelievable. He'd give Geraldine Hoolahoop a run for his money. Sorry I'll take that back. Nyarko
says: "I don't feel very well at the moment and it is tiring
for me to hear the officials say they will do something for my future,
then to understand they won't do anything. I
am fed up with changing my club every year. I have been in Europe for
nine years and, today, I am tired. I want to see my family close to me
and my children have a normal schooling. Until June I will not be paid,
either by PSG or Everton. It will be difficult because I have money troubles.
I am living a difficult period, like in every life." Dumford says: “He has left PSG because they have not confirmed whether they intend to offer him a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell. It is disappointing. Alex is not doing his own reputation or our ability to sell him any favours by walking out on his current club.” (03/3/03) The Invisible Man Signs For Celtic
What a knobhead this fella is. He has now threatened to quit the game again. He seem to have been on a career loan spell with PSG and Everton were hoping to get some money for the prick in the summer. This is what the quilt said:"I am weary by the succession of problems that have plagued my career and the problems I have had in my personal life." Will this saga come
to an end. Anyway Alex go and throw shit at yourself. (27/02/03) So far PSG have not taken up the option to buy Nyarko and they only have until the end of this month to do so. This leaves other clubs to come in for him. Marseille and Lens(his old club)are reported to be interested. I don't care who comes in for the prick as long as he doesn't come back to Goodison.(16/01/03)
Where is the invisible Man? If you know e-mail Blue Kipper
The Alex Nyarko saga took another twist today, when he never turned up for pre season training. Walter says: "I don't think the current situation was entirely unexpected. The problems were well documented at the end of last season, where the player indicated he wanted to leave the Club. He has failed to turn up for training and obviously we have to take disciplinary action against him. We will now have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully the situation in terms of a move to another club will transpire sooner rather than later." Is he in your shed? Have you seen him in Slater's? If you know where he is let us know! (17/07/01) Walter Disappointed Walter says: "Obviously that was the player's view in what was a rather one sided article and it is one of those situations where the view from the club is obviously different to the player. He has chosen to make that public, which his decision, but for ourselves, we prefer just to keep our own counsel and we will wait and see what develops. We are a little bit disappointed that the player has chosen to put forward a viewpoint which is not entirely correct." (23/05/01) Nyarko slags off Everton Transfer listed, Alex Nyarko ,has now claimed that the club is riddled with internal divisions, and physical confrontation in the dressing room was the norm, rather than the exception. In an interview with the Observer, Nyarko said that Archie Knox came to blows with midfielder Stephen Hughes at half-time during a game against Bradford. "Archie was fighting with Stephen and the other players separated them. It was not the first time. I couldn't understand this attitude. We have to go and win a game, I can't cope with this. Archie was fighting with so many players in the room. At Sunderland a few weeks later, however, after he was substituted at half-time. 'Archie started to insult me. I said, "You shouldn't do that. You should respect yourself and me." But he kept on doing this. Sometimes I couldn't tell who was the manager or the trainer, Smith or Knox. He acts like he is the manager. It wasn't just me. He was fighting with so many players in the room. Fighting with their fists. In the end I could not be in the same room as him." Nyarko
went to Switzerland, where his wife was to have a baby. While he was
there, he consulted a doctor he trusted about an old knee injury, for
which he had played under injection at Lens but which was not serious
enough to fail the medical at Everton. The doctor recommended surgery
to repair damage around the meniscus. Nyarko reported as much to Everton
on his return but, he says, they were reluctant, recommending therapy
instead. After the Christmas games, however, he made up his mind that
he needed the surgery and wanted it, against Everton's wishes, in Switzerland.
'They sent a doctor out to watch the surgery. They filmed it. Maybe
they thought I was looking for a way out. They didn't trust me. There
is no trust in that club. No truth.' He paid for the operation himself,
he says, because Everton's medical insurance did not cover it. 'They
didn't support me through it and after, psychologically, it was not
good. To play football is always from the head and this was not good.
Some parts of the crowd turned against me. The attitude was very strange.
'The manager changed his attitude to me, which I didn't understand because
he is not that kind of man. A lot of people respect him in England and
Scotland. Dave Watson was the only one who said hello so I can't smile
and I can't talk. What could I do so that the sun would shine on me?
Maybe I thought they would sell me.' Still, he began playing again and
thought it was picking up. 'We won 2-0 at West Ham and it was a good
game. Gazza came to me afterwards and said, "Alex, you are the
top man."' On his confrontation with the Belly at Arsenal, he added: "He could have put a knife in my stomach, thrown acid in my face. I was very upset. If it had been an opposition supporter it would have been different, but it was my own." Nyarko said he was looking for a new club - 'somewhere there is peace, respect and positive action.' We recommend Melchester Rovers. (21/05/01) What do you think? e-mail info@bluekipper.com Nyarko on The Transfer List Alex Nyarko, the invisible man, has been placed on the transfer list after he told Walter that he wanted to leave Everton. He met Walter Smith this afternoon, after being allowed time to consider his future following the incident when the 'Belly' got him at Arsenal. So one week he retires & now wants to play football again, but not at Everton. Cheeky bastard! Walter Smith said: "We have had talks with Alex this morning and the upshot of that is he has indicated that he would like to leave Everton, so the club have placed him on the transfer list. I think it is always awkward for any player to come from another country and settle right away.In the early part of the season he was playing well and then he got an injury which kept him out for a couple of months. It is disappointing when you bring a player in as you always hope that it works out and I am sorry that didn't fit into our set-up. But he is a good level of player and I am sure we will have a lot of interest in him over the summer. Unfortunately the incident at Arsenal made him want to leave the club. We have agreed to that and have transfer listed him." Lets
hope we get the £4.5 million back, which we paid Lens for the
lazy man.(11/05/01) BELLY BANNED FOR 3 YEARS The
supporter who ran onto the pitch and confronted Alex Nyarko last Saturday
afternoon has appeared before Magistrates at Highbury Magistrates Court.
Everton's Head of Corporate Affairs and PR Ian Ross commented: "In the light of the events at Highbury last Saturday, Everton Football Club would like to express it's disgust and disappointment at the actions of the supporter who made his way onto the pitch. "As a club, we have always made it clear that we will not tolerate anyone encroaching on the playing area - be it at Goodison or anywhere else." He added: "As is our normal policy when one of our supporters has received a sentence of this nature, the matter will be discussed at the next board meeting." Although we don't condone what Stephen done, shouldn't Nyarko be banned from every football ground in Britain for the next three years and give Price a dropsey to help pay his fine.(27/04/01 The Invisible Man Has Been Found
Walter
Smith has found Alex Nyarko following the incident at Arsenal last Saturday
afternoon. Alan Myers, the Head of Media and Publications at Everton has confirmed that the player has now met with the manager. He said: "Walter Smith has today had a discussion with Alex Nyarko in which the player expressed his thoughts on the events of last weekend at Highbury. "Alex has asked for more time to consider his future and with the club having a very important game against Bradford City over the weekend, the manager is happy to allow him that time." (27/04/01) Nyarko Goes A.W.O.L.
It gets better. Alex Nyarko, sometime Everton footballer never turned up for training today. Walter said "We will have to await a meeting between myself and the player before we can discuss further what actions we as a club can take. We have to wait for him to come back or have some contact with him before we can find out the road we will travel down. It is a situation we don't need. I think for everyone at the club the focus has to be towards the Bradford game." Ian Ross, Everton's Head of Corporate Affairs and PR (honest. That's his title.) said: "We are currently trying to make contact with Alex in order to arrange a meeting with him. If this cannot be achieved within the next 2 or 3 days the club would have to consider some form of disciplinary action." This is not the first time this has happened. Remember the deafening silence from Everton when he disappeared earlier in the season. Then we were told he had a virus. Obviously he caught that from Pat Van Den Haue. With
regard to the fan who ran on the pitch, Ross said "Whilst conceding
that football is a game which will always inflame emotions and divide
opinion, Everton Football Club will never tolerate the misbehaviour
of any of it's supporters. Because of the onset of legal proceedings
involving one of our supporters in the aftermath of Saturday's game
at Arsenal we can not comment further. However, once they have been
completed, the club will consider taking action against the individual
involved." (23/04/01) What you, the Fans think.- Click Here Nyarko
Quits! What a quilt! Belly's gonna get ya! Alex Nyarko, sensationally announced he has quit football after personal abuse from a fan during the 4-1 defeat at Arsenal. Nyarko, Everton's £4.5million summer buy from French club Lens, pleaded to be substituted in the 70th minute at Highbury after a supporter ran onto the pitch and offered to swap shirts. Nyarko, who was eventually replaced by Israeli Idan Tal, said: "This is the fourth or fifth time this has happened and that's it. I'm finished with football. This man has done the same thing before. He came and offered me a black T-shirt for my blue one and told me to fuck off. So today I have decided I am quitting football. I can't live my life like this. I can live without football and that is what I am going to do. I came to this club when I would have been better off joining another one but I have had no problems with anybody at Everton and I have full respect for everyone. I have been happy with the way I have played and I don't upset anybody, but this is too much." Nyarko, 28, was making only his 20th start for Everton after an injury-interrupted season. And he has only recently completed a suspension after being sent off against Ipswich in February. Everton spokesman Alan Myers said: "Obviously the player was upset and we will sit down with him some time next week once the situation has calmed down." Walter Smith said: "You'll have to give me some time to think about whether he will be playing for us in our next game - about five seconds should do it. It is obviously not a good example to set. You expect players to have a certain amount of mental strength when they are criticised but I've never known something like this to happen before and I presume no other manager has either."
