Just One Of The Million Wise Cracks Smithy Played That Made Him The Lad We Loved… He Will Be Sorely Missed By All Who Knew Him I'm Sure, Condolences To The Smith Family , Thousands Of Hearts Are With You In This Time… Rest Easy Now Kingo..Rest Easy…We Will Remember Them. Leon Stewart. (12/07/07)

Graham Goudie R.I.P. (17/03/87 - 28/01/06)

Graham Goudie was tragically taken 28/01/06. He was a massive Evertonian who would always argue his case for the blues being the best there is on Merseyside. His last game was a week prior to his death against da arse. All who attended his funeral wore the royal blue jersey (even his friends who supported the shite). He would love sharing a page with his new found blue friends up in the Gwladys in the sky. (30/03/07)

John Stoneley R.I.P.

John Stoneley died suddenly on 23rd March. Our dad is the reason why we're all Evertonians in our family. Who can forget the night after the '66 cup Final when he had a bet with the Rednose manager of The Moly that if we won, he'd paint the red clock blue. Right on 5 o'clock he was up the street with his pot of paint and step ladder - a great night was had by all. So many memories - the '84 Cup Final when us two and my dad stood together on the terraces watching us win the Cup. It was the first time we had been old enough to have a pint with him in celebration of us winning something. In later years when his health was failing and he was unable to attend the match he would often find his way to St. Anthony's to light a candle and say a little prayer for the boys in blue and 9 times out of ten it would work! He was so proud that his grandaughters grew up to be blues and will be greatly missed by them all. God Bless Dad, Your loving sons, Peter and John. (27/03/07)

Andrew Keggin R.I.P.

Andy, a lifelong evertonian, passed away on sunday 11th March in hospital after falling at home the previous night. The past year had been hard on Andy as he was diagnosed with progressive MS. Andy followed the blues throughout the seventies, glory eighties and nineties. Andy was well known, well liked and will be sadly missed by all who crossed paths with him.

Only the good die young. Love always. Your devastated family.
Dave Miley. (14/03/07)

Ray Jones (aka Stingray) R.I.P.

Ray's Funeral took place at 10.30am on Monday, 19th Feb 2007 at Holy Rosary Church, Aintree, followed by cremation at Thornton Crematorium and then to the Holy Rosary Parish Club, Aintree.

It is with great sadness that bluekipper announce the death of Ray Jones (Stingray) who lost his battle with Liver Cancer in the early hours of this morning. Ray was an integral part of bluekipper since day one, and his fountain of knowledge where Everton was concerned was an invaluable source of argument settlers for us all, so much so that 'Ask Stingray' was an institution on our site.

We at bluekipper have lost a true friend and true gentleman and our deepest deepest condolences goes to Flo his wife, Steve (Kipper), Paul (Jogger) and Gary (Lard) his sons, Joanne, Tracey and Vicky his daughters in law, Chris, Daniel, Lisa, Kim, Jessica and Ben his Grandchildren, and all of Ray's family and friends.

Our thoughts are with you all at this extremely sad time. Paul (Sausage), Simon (Ernie), and Mike (Lavo) (13/02/07)

Tributes To Ray

Paul McComb R.I.P.

Paul's Funeral took place at 3.00pm on Wednesday, 14th Feb 2007 at St Chad's in Kirkby followed by 4.00pm at St Helens Crematorium and then to the Windmill Pub, Tower Hill, Kirkby.

There is no easy way to say this. Paul Mac died in a car crash in the early hours of this morning. We were devastated when we got the news from his good mate Brian early this morning. Paul was a great Evertonian, who watched Everton home and away. Macca helped us get the Blue Kipper message board established along with Hoogie and Robbie G. from the start over 8 years ago. He has kept it going through the years. Hoogie is the IT guy and Paul the people person. He loved the fact that he had helped create a message board that any Evertonian could post on. Quack (a nickname from his school days) was always at hand to help out with anything that would help the Blue Kipper site. It may have been writing a match report or selling some tickets for the Presentation night or taking someone home in his taxi.

He was more than anything a great mate to have. Nothing was too much trouble. He loved helping out his Evertonian mates. He was great company, always having a laugh and taking the piss. Blue Kipper will never be the same. Blue Kipper send their deepest condolences to Paul's two daughters Natalie and Jessica and the rest of his family at this extremely sad time.
Jogger, Kipper, Lard, Lavo, Ernie, Keefer, Sting Ray & Sausage. (06/02/07)

Tributes For Paul Mac

Ian Close R.I.P.

Ian Close who sadly died in February 2006. He was a mad Evertonian. Closey lived down in Luton and he brought his lad Tom up to be a mad Evertonian as well. Ian was great. He was a crackin' fella, and the mate that everyone should have. (Why is it that all my mates are Evertonians and as a red I've always had to be on me tod?) His dad Keith and brother David are big Evertonians as well. Ian used to be mad jealous of all our success but as a real scouser he forgave us for it. Please put this on your site because it's my tribute to a really special bloke. Forza Closey! Ci manchi tanto!!! Yash. (21/01/07)

Graham's Friend, Sgt. Dave Barton Paid His Own Tribute To Graham: " He was simply a nice bloke, and a staunch Evertonian. He wasn't in the traditional mould of an Infantry Sergeant, but if he asked something of his men, they would deliver." (02/01/07)

Charlie Hengler R.I.P.

Charlie Behind The Bar At 'The Blue House'

Charlie Hengler died suddenly on Saturday night. A great Evertonian, who was manager of The Stanley Park pub, known to every Evertonian as The Blue House. We would like to send our condolences to his wife Doreen and all the family. (24/12/06)

Kenny Dunford R.I.P.

Kenny died 05/12/04. He was a Lifelong blue, and former season ticket holder, who in his younger years had trials with Tottenham Hotspur , but could not leave his home and his engineering apprenticeship (his dad said so!!) Passed away after a battle with the Big 'C' (his own words) aged 66, at St Catherine's Hospice. Has though left behind a true blue family, including two granddaughters who visit goodison when their parents funds permit. We all miss you The Dunford / Stephens (24/12/06)

Harry Leyland R.I.P.

Tommy Eglington, Jimmy Tansey, Harry Leyland, Tommy E. Jones

I just wanted to write a few words about my Grandad, Harry Leyland. My Grandad was one in a million, a very well respected and proud man, with good values who was dedicated to his family and loved life.

Even up until his untimely death he was still involved with New Brighton Rugby Club and enjoyed playing bowls and having a few pints of Tetleys after with his mates.

He played 40 times for Everton in the 1950's and went on to play 180 times for Tranmere Rovers, 188 times for Blackburn Rovers and also had a stint as player/manager at Wigan Athletic. We saw right though and chose to support the School of Science. Even driving past Goodison made him burst into his favourite Everton song "It's a grand old team to play for.........

I just wanted to say thanks for the stories, the memories, giving me a job on the market - even though I broke more brushes than I sold you still
didn't sack me, playing Father Christmas to the million grand kids you had, taking me to the match, introducing me to all the old players and for being there when we needed you the most - you were always the strongest and your advice was always right.

The test match at Old Trafford 2 years ago will forever be in my heart as one of my favourite days spent with you. Enjoy a few pints upstairs for us and we will see you again in Blue Heaven. All our Love Stuart, Andy and Pete Mackinnon........also my Mum and Dadxxx Stuart Mackinnon. (12/12/06)

Former Everton keeper Harry Leyland has passed away following a short illness. Harry played 40 times for the Blues in the 1950's after taking over from the great Ted Sagar. Harry moved on from the Blues to Blackburn in the mid 1950's were he enjoyed success, and went on to appear in the 1960 FA Cup Final were Blackburn were defeated 3-0 by Wolves.

Harry had spells with Tranmere and Wigan, but he always had a soft spot for Everton and he continued to visit as a spectator after his retirement from the game. (08/12/06)

Corporal Ben Nowak R.I.P.

Tim Cahill joined, Sir Philip Carter and members of Everton's coaching staff as nearly 1000 mourners paid their respects to Cpl Ben Nowak at his Funeral service in Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral today. Ben was killed in action in Iraq on Remembrance Sunday, when he and three of his colleagues were caught in an ambush on the waterways of Basra.

The Liverpool born Royal Marine was a life long Evertonian, and mourners were presented with a blue ribbon to wear at the service. Ben was awarded Full Military Honours at his Funeral as his colleagues from 45 Commando laid their fellow Marine to rest.

Everton paid their own tribute to Ben at last weekends win over Bolton, as a minutes silence was afforded the Royal Marine. Ben's friends and family joined players of both teams on the pitch, with banners displaying Ben's love for our Club. (23/11/06)

Ben a Royal Marines PT instructor from Speke, had two passions in his life the Marines and Everton. As a marine he was killed in Basra on Remembrance Sunday when his patrol boat was hit by a makeshift bomb in Iraq.

Last summer he realised a dream when he spent two days training the Everton youth team at the Royal Marines' commando training centre in Devon in August last year.

Ben said of the training camp:
"It was a strange feeling when I met Gary Ablett,Everton's former youth team coach, as I have always been a Blue and he was a cult hero of mine. When I am on leave from camp, I get to Goodison as often as I can and so it was a real honour for me to play a part in the academy's pre-season. I was in charge of taking the young lads from the Everton academy and putting them through their paces but it was not about physical thrashing.

Some of the lads didn't even know the other players that well, so it was useful to put them in a situation where they had to be tested and under a bit of pressure, not as much as normal recruits would be,but a bit to see how they adapted. Before heading home the Everton lads were invited to make their mark by doing a mud run. They went out into the estuary where the tide was out. The mud came up to their knees and they had to do sit-ups.

They ran 'EFC' out into the mud so that when we went back to the camp, we could look back down from the top of the hill and see EFC written out on the estuary, which was good. From there they had a debrief and went on their merry way. As an Evertonian, it was a privilege to be involved with the boys. They were very impressive and a good set of lads." (15/11/06)

In Memory of Dennis Howard 31 July 1932-27 October 2006

I am 34 years of age but I can tell you the following and much more Bobby Collins was a better player at Everton than at Leeds where he won European footballer of the Year. Tommy Ring was one of the most skilful players to ever play for Everton but never got over breaking his leg, Alex Young sometimes went missing away from home, Jimmy Husband cost us the 68 cup final and many more things.

Why do I know this? Because my Dad told me other kids were brought up with children's fairytales My brother and I listening to grand tales of Everton and loved every minute of them.

Then when I was four I got to go to goodison West ham at home in 77 we won two one and Mckenzie scored, I cried the whole time in the upper Gwladys Street because I wanted the toilet and was too scared to go with so many people there. A story my father never bored of telling. I was hooked and never got over it.

My dad would take us everywhere home and away. If we were playing midweek away he would write me note for school saying I was at the Dentist or hospital or something The teachers must of thought me the sickest boy in school.

He first saw Everton in a War match at Crewe Tommy Lawton got five that was another favourite bedtime tale. He followed them from that day to this 67 years.

One of my favourite memories is Southampton away in march 85 the championship season we won two one and at the station waiting for the train was then England Manager Bobby Robson, he marched straight up to him and demanded to know why Peter Reid was Not in The England Squad, Mr Robson tried to get away but was pursued down the platform with My dad screaming at him, he was none to happy when I asked for Robson's’s autograph. The next England squad Reid was in my Dad was convinced it was down to him.

I told him yesterday towards the end just before he left us that he had ruined my life bringing me up an evertonian it cost me a fortune and brought mainly misery and why couldn't he have got me into Train spotting or something. I didn't mean it he brought me up right I am Blue because he was and my happiest memories of my father are the ones of him at the match.

He has not been for 18months because of his health, but the next times I enter Goodison will the hardiest knowing he wouldn’t be with me and our kid again and I wouldn't have to put up with his rants about the performance.

He was a great father and a great evertonian, Bye Dad. Love Phil. (28/10/06)

George Heslop R.I.P.

Ex-Everton player, George sadly passed away on 16th September 2006 peacefully in hospital. George played only 11 times for the Blues in the 60's, as he was understudy to the great Brian Labone. The funeral was on Friday 22nd September 2006 at the White church, Lytham St Annes. regards Peter. (24/09/06)

Spencerleigh Spargo / Cahill R.I.P.

I write to you as a grieving father and would be grateful if you would put the following message on your web-site.

My Son Spencerleigh was tragically killed in a road traffic accident just yards from his home on Friday 11th August. I just wanted to let everybody know what a special little boy that I had. He always had a smile on his
face and would cheer you up just by looking at him. He was bright as well, and both myself and his mother were so proud of him. Physically, he was so big and strong and fast. He won 3 of the 6 races at his nursery sports
day. He was already a little athlete. I am sure that he was one day destined to pull on the royal blue jersey, and despite his tender age of just 3 years and 5 months he had already made up his mind that he was going to play for both Everton and England.

Everton and Evertonians are often described as one big family. Although I have agreed with that statement in the past I have never fully understood until now. We have had messages, flowers and other tributes from the Club,
some of the fans and also an ex-player. We would like to thank everybody for that.

It is perhaps with a sense of irony that I can tell you I recently had the fortune to be the guest of the match sponsor at last-seasons game with Chelsea. I met Brian Labone and he presented me with a football that I won
on the day. I gave that football to my Son the moment I got home. Spencerleigh will be laid to rest with that football and I can only hope that he may meet Brian himself and have a kick-about wherever they both may
be.

Spencerleigh's funeral service will be held at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral on Thursday 24th August at 1.00pm. All members of his extended Evertonian family are welcome to attend the service. He would have loved to have seen you there. Anybody who would like to attend is requested to wear an Everton or England shirt in memory of the superstar that we never got the chance to see play.

Lee Spargo and Amy Cahill, Parents of Spencerleigh. (21/08/06)

Phil Brown R.I.P.

Phil Brown, a season ticket holder in the Upper Gwladys Street passed away in May 2006. Brownie was an Evertonian all his life and will be sadly missed by all his friends in the Blackhorse, the Harlech and Lulu's. He was always the first to start the singing in the pubs after the match. His friends would also like to thank Ray Wilson who we met in town a few days after Phil's death. Ray was one of Phil's favourite players and he was an absolute gentleman when we met him and took time to talk to us all. Phil and Ray top men and top Evertonians. Peter Smith. (17/07/06)

Darren Owen R.I.P.

Sadly daz passed away on the 16th may 2006 in Australia where he emigrated in February 2006. Before he left for Australia he was a season ticket holder and a massive blue nose to go with it. He also leaves his girlfriend Lorraine who he spent six years with. Good night Daz mate. Alan Jones (19/06/06)

Just wondering if you could show this picture of my dad in the British Virgin Islands on bluekipper. My dad passed away suddenly last month aged just 52 and was a massive Evertonian like myself and most the family!

Miss you everyday Dad, you'll never be forgotten R.I.P. Mike Vernon. (18/05/06)

Brian Labone R.I.P.

Most Evertonians today woke to the very sad news of the untimely death of Mr. Everton, and true Blue legend Brian Labone. Labby to his fellow Blues was found dead outside his home in Lydiate late last evening.

Labby who won two League Championship medals with the Blues in 1963, and 1970, always maintained his finest hour, was leading the Blues to FA Cup glory at Wembley in 1966. He made over 530 appearances for the Blues, and was capped 26 times by England.

Harry Catterick his boss from one of the most exciting era's in Everton's history, called Labby 'The Last of The Corinthians', but Blues fans simply knew him as Mr. Everton. Brian could still be seen at every home game, and his love for the Blues was legendary.

Tributes have been pouring in for the Blues legend, and here at bluekipper.com, we were very fortunate to have met Brian on several occasions, and we would like to send our deepest condolences to all of Brian's family and friends. (25/04/06)

Tributes From The Fans

Ian Bartholomew R.I.P.

I am sending you this picture on behalf of my dad Ian Bartholomew, that he had taken specifically to send to you. It is him on the water in Dubai, proudly sporting his Everton shirt a few weeks ago. Unfortunately he suffered a severe heart attack this week and passed away on the 30th March 2006.

This was to be a special week for him as well, as Saturday's game against Sunderland was to mark 50 years since he was first taken to Goodison as a 12 year old boy from North Wales.

My dad was a lifelong Evertonian who has revelled in the ups and downs of the clubs fortunes over those 50 years, the highlight of which he always said was that night in Rotterdam in 1985 and every time we beat the 'shite'. In more recent years he had become a season ticket holder in the top balcony and a shareholder (2 shares I believe!!) and both he and I sported EFC Tattoos and a pair of EFC number plates on our cars, for I too have become a member of his other family.

I would appreciate it if you would print this picture and narrative in his memory. Yours forever blue. Ian's loving son, Martin Bartholomew. (24/04/06)

Les Jones R.I.P.

I am writing to inform you of the very sad news of the passing away of one of our greatest fans. Les Jones claim to infamy was walking onto the hallowed turf against Aston Villa in March 1998 to berate the ref Neale Barry. Fortunately or unfortunately ( whatever your viewpoint ) he never reached his target, being restrained by Craig Short ! Les was one of those people who lit up your life, he loved Everton and even during some of our dire times he made going to the match that more bearable with his brilliant sense of humour. Our loss is heavens gain, matchday's wont be the same and if you are in the Park End this Saturday there will be an empty seat in row Y, forever Les's.

R.I.P LES JONES (always remembered-never forgotten ) (29/03/06)

Martin Houghton R.I.P.

I have just heard that my uncle Marty has just passed away (26th March 06) aged 47. He was a season ticket holder in the Gwladys street stand for about 15 years. The last game he was at was the 4-1 win against Villa, he was a true blue till the end, and will be sadly missed by all the Houghton family. Good night god bless uncle Marty.ONCE A BLUE ALWAYS BLUE, THROUGH AND THROUGH. Mick Houghton. (27/03/06)

Stan Tyrell. R.I.P.

Stan Tyrell who died last week after a lengthy illness was buried today. Stan 42 organised the Walnut Blues Supporters Club. The service at St Robert Bellarmine's Church, Bootle was attended by many Evertonians in their colours and then after in The Orrell Park Ballroom. Everton Football Club were represented by David Moyes, Graeme Sharp and Duncan Ferguson. Stan was voted "Blues Fan of the Year" this year. Our thoughts are with his wife, Debbie, and three children Steven 10, Amy 8, and Mia 6. May he rest in peace. (06/12/05)

Darren Ledgard. R.I.P.

On 20th September 2005, Darren's life sadly ended at the age of 29. 'Daz' to his friends, was a fantastic and courageous person, who lead a colourful life to the full. He never backed down from a challenge, nor let any obstacle or anybody stand in his way. His passion for Everton underlined his passion for life, a true blue, season ticket holder in the Lower Gwladys. He will be sadly missed by all those who where lucky enough to have been graced by his presence. Funeral was held at St Helens Crematorium on Friday 30th September 2005 at 1430hrs.
Rest in peace mate - from the Garswood Blues. Jim Rawlinson. (03/10/05)

Jim Vondy. R.I.P.

Sadly we lost another of the great old timers last week. Jim Vondy, a lifelong Evertonian, passed away peacefully last Sunday. Jim was a great man, I spent many happy hours in his company. You couldn't help but laugh when you were with Jim because he always saw the funny side of things. The only thing he didn't see the funny side of was the redshite, who he loathed with a passion, God love him. Jim had 3 sons - my mate Rob, James and Steven, who he obviously brought up to be Blues. You met Jim and you liked him, it was simple as that. Goodnight and God bless Jim, rest in peace. Kevin Latham. (25/09/05)

Billy Brennan. R.I.P.

On the 29th July Everton lost a truly devoted follower. Billy Brennan, a Park End stand season ticket holder sadly passed away aged 45. Billy will probably be known to most Blues as a larger than life character. Following the Blues home and away all his life, what he didn't know about Everton didn't matter. Billy frequented most pubs on Townsend Lane but mostly the Farmers Arms. He leaves his wife, mother and brother and will be laid to rest on Thursday 12 noon at Sacred Heart in Kensington. Goodison and away games will defiantly be the poorer for his passing. Good night and God Bless Billy.

Jamie Griffin. (21/02/05)

Owen Farley. R.I.P.

Owen Farley died on Monday 23rd May 05 aged 71 years, a lifelong Evertonian and socialist

We would like to send condolences to Joanne, Paula, Jackie, Sheila, Carol and Mark and all the family. (21/05/05)

Michael Blake. R.I.P.

Michael Blake was killed in a car crash on his way home from the Arsenal away game. He had spent a dream night celebrating with his his childhood pal Martin Taverick for a few drinks in Liverpool city centre before ending up at Baby Cream at Albert Dock where they joined in with the Everton team's after-match celebration party.

The 28-year-old chatted, danced and sang with the team as they marked their victory against Newcastle. Six hours later, he was killed instantly in an horrific road crash. His devastated family and friends said he died on the happiest day of his life. They chatted with manager David Moyes, striker James Beattie and midfielder Steve Watson, danced with the team and join in a singsong.mMr Blake called his sister Jenna then handed the phone over to Beattie for the pair to have a chat.

Father Michael, 54, said: "Being with the players on his last day on earth was very fitting. He went out on a high. We are all devastated. He will be so missed."

Mr Taverick, 23, of Kirkby, said: "We were on cloud nine when we saw the players. It was the best night ever. I can't believe Michael is gone."

Lifelong friend Tracy Fabiani, of Kirkby, said: "He lived for his team and he went out on a high."

David Moyes was devastated to hear about the tragedy. A club spokesman said: "Everton will do all we can to help Michael's family."

It is hoped Mr Blake's funeral can be next Friday at St Joseph the Worker RC church, Southdene, Kirkby. Mourners will be invited to wear Everton scarves and their Blues kit as a tribute to Mr Blake. Everton FC have provided a signed football shirt and team photograph signed by all the players to be buried with Mr Blake. (12/05/05)

BORN A BLUE - LIVED A BLUE - DIED A BLUE

* * * * * * *

I only knew Fred from recent years but I remember him always greeting you with How are you?" decked in Blue and White. Never mentioning any of his ills, only how our team was getting on. He was a regular at Everton's old supporters' club (Crofts), and when you talked to Fred you soon realised he was bright as a button and a bottomless pit of information and tales of our club, its teams, its victories, its trials, its tradition and its values over many years.

Fred had literally seen it all in his lifetime, the highs and lows, following the Blues. I always say it's a long haul and how will you be remembered.

Well Fred certainly has earned a medal for service above and beyond his call of duty following the Blues. Fred held a fantastic achievement in being a regular for 70 years, you felt humble in his presence but this was a man who embodied what an Evertonian was about, the ability to take defeats on the chin and bounce back for that glorious win the following week.

Fred's first game watching his beloved Blues was against Grimsby Town in, wait for it .... 1932. That year we won the title again, the year after another F.A. Cup, so maybe Fred knew what was coming along .... a bit of a glory hunter, eh?

His favourite player of all time was Tommy Lawton, with TG Jones, Brian Labone, Tony Kay and Alec Young amongst other heros of Fred.

Fred loved the phrase 'Everton FC, the people's club' he knew just how much it wound the Reds up. I'm so glad Fred saw Everton back up near the top where we belong in his final season and the club fittingly recognised his devotion to the Blues on a memorable day at Goodison a few months ago.

It won't be the same going to the match for many Blues now that Fred has gone, but Fred will always be where Everton, and its extended family, are; shouting from the heavens above with many thousands of departed Blues, most of which I bet Fred knew. There are good Evertonians and great Evertonians .... Fred, without doubt, was a great Evertonian.

If (The Blue Version)

If you can wait for titles but not be tired of wating
Or being lied to about transfer deals
Don't deal in transfer lies, especially in the papers.
Or being hated by Reds, Don't give way to hating Reds,
And yet don't look too good nor talk too wise in front of them
As one of us blues is worth twenty of them.

If you can dream of Everton night and day
And have a least one dream with 'them' relegated and in administration.
If you can think of Dixie, Lawton, Young, Ball
and Latchford with many others and smile with affection.
If you can support a club with 126 year old history and a
hundred seasons at the top unequalled by no other.
If you can go the game alone and never feel alone while there.

If you can meet with triumph and disaster on the pitch,
And treat those two imposters just the same.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken.
Twisted by bitter Reds to make a trap for those fools,
Or watch the team you gave your life to nearly broken,
Then dig deep and build them up with worn-out shoes
following and supporting them

If you can make one heap of all our title and cup winnings
And risk them on one turn of pitch and toss
And lose and start again at our beginnings
And never breathe a word about our loss
Because we have each other as an extended family
And memories and victories cannot be lost.

If you can keep Everton in your heart and nerve and
sinew to serve your memory long after you're gone,
And to hold on when there is nothing in you
But the will that says to them "hold on Everton, keep the faith".

If you can walk and drink with fellow Blues and keep your virtue
Or walk with the likes of Andy King,
Nor lose the common touch with fans,
If neither refs nor lovable reds can hurt you.

If all men count with you our trophies but none can compare that much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute added on
With 60 seconds worth of distance run by the team for the Royal Blue shirt.
Yours is Everton and everything about it, and which is more,
You'll be an Evertonian my son. And one of these Evertonians was Fred.

We are Everton!! God bless you Fred, we are better for knowing you.

A finer lad, I never knew,
An Evertonian, through and through.
God said “Fred, it’s time to go”,
And gave his whistle, one more blow.

No more chairs, with rounded wheels,
He now stands straight, and clicks his heels.
With this thought, he runs for goal
Till someone trips, our favourite soul.
No yellow cards, no red ones too,
Thank God Fred’s heaven’s painted blue.

Fred steps up, and takes the pen,
And scores the goal, for his Everton.
A happier face, you’ve never seen,
He’s with the Lord, and Dixie Dean.

So in Gods arms, you’ll rest tonight,
All dressed up, in Blue and White.
With these words, I send to you,
All my prayers, from another blue.

Goodnight Fred, it’s hard to say,
But I know we’ll meet, another day.
I send this poem, with all my soul,
From me, and all, behind the goal.

Fred Highcock R.I.P.

Fred Highcock (Senior) died last Friday night at 7pm. Fred & his son Fred junior aka Fredsnotared are well known Blues & Fred senior was a lifelong Toffeeman. Fred leaves 14 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren and when Fred junior gets back from celebrating our point at Newcastle we will do full justice to Fred's obituary. One tale is that last week when he knew that he did not have long left he pulled Fredsnotared close to him and said 'Better dead than red son!' Top man.
Fred was right behind Lee Carsley's free kick today in the same way that he kicked every ball at Goodison over the years, he's now having a pint with Dixie at that great Goodison in the sky. Goodnight Fred and thanks for the memories. R.I.P. 'Oh we hate Bill Shankly and we hate St John..........'

Billy Foster R.I.P.

Filly Boster

Billy Foster (73) died suddenly, after a short illness, in the early hours of Saturday 6th November 2004 in Lincoln General Hospital.
Billy, an ex-Docker ('Tombsy' & 'Kodak' to his docker mates), moved to Lincoln in retirement to be closer to his family after living in Speke most of his life. He had been a Toffeeman all his life and watched the Blues from Dixie to Waggy, like most Blue Dad's he brought up three future Toffee's, Young Billy, Sue & Lin, with his wife Annie.
Billy was a real Scouse character, who once you met him you would never forget him & that is how he will remain - never forgotten.
Having died on Saturday morning, some thought that Billy would be with us at Stamford Bridge - we lost! Only to find out that Billy was back in his home town, but at Analfield, where Birmingham beat the shite!!
Billy's funeral is on Monday 15th November 2004 at St Mary's, Horncastle, Lincoln at 1.30pm.
R.I.P. Billy and thanks for the memories.
