On this day in 1971, Everton beat Middlesborough 3-0 at Goodison in 4th Round of the FA Cup with goals from Henry Newton, Colin Harvey & Joe Royle. We went on to reach the semi-final that year, the game was also significant as it was Brian Labone's last FA Cup match at Goodison, his final FA Cup appearance was in the semi against the shite. RIP Brian, thanks for the memories.
