On this day in 1979, Martin Dobson left Everton to join Burnley for £100,000. The classy midfielder played 190 league games scoring 29 goals for Everton in a five year career. Dobbo had joined Everton for £300,000 a new British transfer record at the time. Martin also gained 5 England caps.
