He cost £150,000 never scored at all for Everton, but on this day 30 years ago the Blues signed one of, if not their greatest ever player in Neville Southall.

Big Nev went on to play 750 times for the Blues which is a club record and I doubt that will ever be broken.

He won two League titles, and two FA Cups, one European Cup Winners Cup and countless Charidee Shields in his time at Everton.
