The Blues legendary front man Bob Latchford moved to Swansea City on this day back in 1981.

The Latch scored 138 times for Everton in 289 matches since his arrival at Goodison in a then record breaking transfer in 1974 from Birmingham City.

In the 1977 / 78 season Latch Scored 30 League goals for Everton and in doing so became the first striker in many moons to do so. As a consequence he pocketed a £10,000 prize from the Daily Express for his exploits.
