On this day in 1988, Colin Harvey's Everton scored 5 first half goals to win the FA Cup 3rd Rd 3rd replay against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 2 other games were close affairs, but Everton won this cup tie with ease. Graeme Sharp lead the way with a hat-trick, plus goals from Aidrian Heath and Ian Snodin put Everton in the 4th Rd.
