Ian, along with his family currently live in Pasadena, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
He owns a successful Restaurant in the community, Sam's Place, named after his wife. He is also responsible for the creation of the Pasadena Eagles Football Club, which he currently plays for and coaches.

Best memory has to be that tackle on Rush against the Shite at Anfield in the Super Cup. I bet Rushie still has nightmares about it.

Dom, Ian was a big central defender/emergency striker that started his career with Everton as an apprentice in the early 1980's. He played for us from 1984 to 1988. His best season for appearances was in 1985/86, when he made 8 starts in the league at centre half, as Mountfield was injured at the time. His biggest claim to fame as an Everton player - as daft as this sounds - is that he was chosen to be on the front cover of the Panini Football 87 sticker album, in an action shot with Andy Gray (Gray in a Villa shirt!).

He left Everton for Oldham in 1988. He went on to win the League Cup with Leicester in 2000, and the LDV Vans Trophy with Blackpool in 2002.
