Joey Close To Exit
Bookmark and Share

I'm sure we have heard this before, but Joey could be close to leaving the club. Everton have confirmed they are in advanced talks with Fenerbahce about a permanent move.

Everton have been fobbed off by the Turks on a number of occasions. The two clubs have never come to an agreement on the transfer figure.

But Everton will want to get this deal done as soon as possible and may have to accept a lower figure to get some funds in to use for future transfers.

Joey's contract runs out in the summer of 2014, so we need to get him off the books.

Boring! I am sick of hearing about it. Its dragged on longer than a bleeding Eastenders story line. Surely the Turks arent the only ones who would buy him. Robin, Yobo was quoted as saying he would go anywhere, but not back to Everton.

Don't forget we've had a fee each time the lad went out on loan. Last year was £1m, and the year before was £1.5m (Don't quote me on that though). Needless to say we want him gone, we need to just settle a fee even if it's just £2m. Better than nothing. Alternatively, offer him to an English club that's just been promoted.

On his twitter account yesterday he thanked Everton for everything. Seems like a done deal. Good luck to the lad!

Robin; you do know that Yobo was shown the door for his actions whilst he was Captain and also his actions once he had the arm band taken off him. Throwing the armband to the Goodison turf when it was handed to him when his replacement Cahil or Arteta were subbed. Yobo was subbed dhortly after and never played again. About time he left, no-one is bigger than EFC.

I agree with you guys! Fenerbache are complete -nob-eads in all of this, they should have paid 4M ages ago!

A lot of people seem to be resenting Yobo for all of this. He has not done anything wrong. He wasn't going to get into our first team so he has gone (or tried to!) elsewhere for first team football. Good luck to him, I say.

They're gonna hang on as late as possible and try to engineer a position where we either give him away or they can just take him on loan again. Another year and he'll be beyond useful and we will be stuck with him.
