More Johnny Heitinga
Spartak Moscow are said to be putting in a bid for Johnny Heitinga. With the Russian transfer window still open until the end of Feb this is a possibility.
Johnny has showed what a good player he is with great performances against Fulham and especially City. I can't see this happening but in the mad, mad world of footy you just never know.
Would you take £5m for Johnny?

JH has found his role and no one can knock how hes playing now and for me I see him staying the course. Jags seems to be unlucky over the years with injury and this season will be almost over by the time he gets his fitness back. We are in a rebuilding phase and in our situation we must consolidate what is left of this campaign and get as high as possible. Its like having JH as a new player so, fingers and all crossed no more injuries.

No Chance!! don't want to see another one of our top players go as now our other two Centre halves are not exactly spring chickens and at some point he's going to command a starting place, I think he does now! with Distin beginning to pick up injuries more regularly, he should be the prefferd first choice, So in short, NO!!!

I thought Jonny was great in his first season but since then Moyes had ruined him by playing him in midfield were he is shit.If Moyes had continued to play him there i would accept £4 million but now he has had a run at the back again he is showing his class and as long as Moyes keeps him him in defence i wouldnt take less than £10 million for him.

When jonny first came to the blues, i thought he was class! He had quite a dip in performances, probably because of his inability to break into the team ahead of 2 world class centre halfs. Since distin and jags have been side-lined, jonny truly has stepped up and has played class, it wasn't just against city but against fulham too ( ill let him off for that penalty). 5 million? No chance. Not for a now first team starter for Everton (while distin and jags are injured anyway) and also a dutch international! If gary cahill is worth 7/8 million, someone tell me why jonny isnt worth 10-12? Even then i would be reluctant to sell him with distin coming up to his mid 30s - although no one doubts that hes still a fanastic centre half and will be for years to come. So thanks for the interest, but NO FUCKING WAY!

Johnny has been unfortunate to be at Everton when we have Jags and Distin at centre half. Despite his age Distin is still one of the fastest and strongest centre backs in the premier league. In most teams JH would be a first choice. I hope he stays as he is invaluable cover and also a very good defensive midfielder.

maybe he's thanking the fans because he's finally realised everton is a good club for him? i have noticed that in this window he has been linked to clubs but hasn't been shouting his mouth off about moving to 'bigger' clubs like he has done in previous windows. i haven't been a fan of his till recently, due to his attitude, but if he keeps his head down and lets his football do the talking i'm willing to be convinced.
plus as someone has previously said £5mil is a joke for an international player, cahill went to chelsea for £7 mil and his contract was almost up. minimum £15 mil if we even think of it!

I think he's definately finding his feet as a centre half and with Buzz not getting any younger, possibly him ahd Jags at the back. Him and Hibbo were superb on Tuesday night. COYBs

I did notice after the game with city Johnny was last to leave the pitch thanking the fans. Was this a sign? I hope not! A couple of fans noticed this too and mentioned that this is second match he thanked the fans and left the pitch long after the others. Whatever happens good luck Johnny.

£5m? No way. Johnny is a quality player and is worth twice that in today's market. Hopefully the books are balanced enough that selling won't be necessary. With a run in the team JH can concentrate on being a first choice on Moyes' team sheet, even when Jags and Distin are fit again. A move to Russia would only ever be about money. The top football is here!

No no no! I'm so glad jags and distin got injured to give heitinga the opurtunity to make that centre half position his own he's been world class for us, he's Hollands first choice CB he should be partnering with jags soon as distin is getting too old now and keep Duffy for the long term and anyway I wouldn't even dare consider it at 5m with the way he is playing, his stature in his homeland and the length of his contract I wouldn't even think about it unless we were offered 12m+
