Fletcher Wanted Man
Bookmark and Share

David Moyes will be on the lookout for a top striker to compliment the play of goal machine Nikica Jelavic.

The man who fits that bill will be playing against Everton this afternoon. Scottish International Steven Fletcher will not want to go down to the Championship and may be available at the right price.

Still only 25 years old, he has scored 21 goals for Wolves in the two seasons in the Premiership.

Will David Moyes go for the striker this summer?

Moyes has mentioned during the week that he will have to wheel and deal. One or two will be leaving, imo that will be Baines and Aniechbe for around €30m. He will have €20m of that to spend on Pienaar (€4m), Dempsey (€5m), a left back izzegerie of celtic would be a decent replacement for around €3m, and Adam Johnson of Man City for €8m. Next seaon team: Howard, Neville, Jags,Heitinga, Izzegera, Johnson, Fellaini, Gibson, Pienaar, Jelavic , Dempsey. Subs Mucha, Hibbert, Distin, Duffy, Coleman, Osman, Rodwell, Barkley, Straqulanin, Vellios, Gueye.

Decent goalscorer (in the Premiership too) and certainly better than anything currently available on the bench including Big Vic (if ever fit), Denis (effort is not enough on its own), Vellios (may improve in time) and Jimmy Mac (didn't we sell him 1st time around cos he wasn't good enough). Bargain at say, £3m ? but have we got £3m ? Pienaar is the priority, then a right winger, Kightly ?

I wouldn't mind having him as back up, 13 goals for a relegated team in the prem and also 7/8 of them being headers which is the most by any player this season is not bad more than any of our strikers, cant imagine him to cost more than 2m and he's 25 so id take him and maybe Jarvis from their team although id prefer Donovan on the right with Pienaar on the left and maybe snatch Dempsey behind Jelavic imagine that!! Hopefully howard can convince him to come to everton

In 3 words: not good enough. Give Vellios a go, he is for free after all! Steven Fletcher? No thanks I take Big Den instead. The only player from Wolves we should be interested is Matt Jarvis. End of story.

Would rather have a younger up and coming striker such as Jay Rodriguez from Burnley.

Not sure he`s cut out to be an Everton player.I say give the Straq a contract(wouldnt cost much),an bring him on as a player along with Vellios, and spend the money on getting peanuts (although i did slate him on here, its clear he makes a diference,so humble pie there!) ,and maybe another winger as Drew said Johnson would be a good addition. And then see whats left in the kitty,if there is one.

Ok he's a decent striker, but dont think he adds much to what we already have. Could see Big Vic performing as well if we play 2 up. Would he improve the starting line up? I dont think so. I think if we are going for someone to partner Jelly it should be someone with genuine pace who can run at defenders. Wouldnt mind the Lukakau (or whatever his name is)

I have been saying this lad would be good for us for a few seasons we should have tried to get him when he left Burnley. He is good in the air, has got good mvement and has a good goal reord considring he is playing in such a poor team. Would be a good addition to the squad and would probably be available for around £4-5million. Fletcher along with somebody like Adam Johnson at Man City as well as Pienaar of course would be good for us and possible cover at both full back positions would really strengthen us for next season

Good player IMO, always liked him since his Hibs days. He would compliment Jelavic well as he drops deep and links the play but he can also get a goal. Not sure we should be looking to get a good striker like him though as we only play one up top, not sure he'd be happy to play second fiddle to Jelavic?. We should be looking at a young, up and coming striker thats gunna push Jelavic and make an impact coming off the bench. Weve got Vellios but he's still a raw talent and needs to go out on loan next season IMO so that he can progress and fullfill some of his potential.

If Moyes changes his out dated system and switched to a 4-4-2 Fletcher and Jelavic would be agreat partenership of course Moyes could also try Stracq, he gives 110% when he plays and never gives up and will chase after the ball if he loses it

I hope so I think he is a class act, and his ariel ability will work really well with Jelavic technical ability on the ground
