Olsson An Everton Target?
Bookmark and Share

Everton are rumoured to be linked with Swedish international Jonas Olsson. The tall defender has only 12 months left on existing contact and has refused to put pen to paper when offered a new contact.

Olly (to his mates) is looking for a fresh challenge and is believed not to be happy over Roy Hodgson leaving WBA. Everton may try to get the 29 year old on the cheap.

It seems a strange one to me but you never know.

IF we require a bog-basic, underwhelming yard-dog of a centre half to cover for either of two internationals or our defensively excellent but ageing Frenchman then I think our manager should get his boots on before we go for this useless pile of crap...think people...Olsson is shite, not an option

He's a top centre back available for possibly pennies. Have you not noticed the team the last few games? Distin, jags & jonny all on the pitch- Distin is getting on, we do need more cover there. Ive always been impressed by this guy, would like to see him come. We are not going to go out and spend a fortune on any one player- we're gonna go for a few bargains as always, and he'd be one

totally disagree have a look at how many we conceded from headers since stubbs and weir left we r crying out for a big ball winning centre back

Centre back is one position we don't need cover for. I would be very surprised if this happened, unless someone left.

predominately left sided, 29, coming to last 12 months of contract - doesn't seem an unreasonable target

Not a chance, unless someone gets shipped out from the back four. There has been alot of talk of us having to wheel and deal, and just maybe one of our defensive assets gets sold at a good price and this lad steps in on the cheap to allow Moyes to play Monopoly for other targets , but personally i think Duffy is going to be a star and will be much better than Olsson ( nanu nanu, sorry.....)

It may well be in case Bainesy is on his way out. Bill needs to keep the banks happy so !2 million in and 0 out.

Agree with you Joe, we have to sort other positions out first - starting with another decent striker (Vossen) who knows where the goal is and another winger (Jarvis?) to go with Pienaar.

He would be a good bench warmer.

If he's joined by a couple of wingers and another striker I couldnt care less, but when moneys tight surely money will be going on bigger priorities
