Tim Cahill On The Move?
More Tim Cahill
Our Snout on Goodison Road has just be on and said that he has it on good authority that Tim Cahill is leaving Everton.
If fact he has been on twice, mumbling through a mouthful of chips, gravy and batter bits that The Blue Kangaroo is off to join New York Red Bulls!
Nothing from the club yet so watch this space.

Comments about Tim Cahill On The Move?

Can't believe have seen some negative comments from blues about tim cahill, saying he was a limited footballer, went off the boil for the last 18 months...etc. They must have short memories. I for one am sad to see Tim leave but think it was the right time for him and the club. He was well respected and gave everything for the shirt, and gave us blues some brilliant moments through tough times. He is a modern day LEGEND to me.

An absolute icon
Could still give another season and go out at the top when we take a top three spot plus the FA cup

#7 Alex,Childwall. No, it's the same authority Sausage gave himself to nick a handful of my chips, knowing full well that I couldn't stand up let alone run/stagger after him. Anyway....tip off confirmed. Thanks Alex. Now....where did I put my Stella?

Having been an Evertonian my whole life in Australia I was so proud to have a fellow Ozzie play for the best team in the world. A lot of new Evertonians were popping up supporting Cahill. Will be missed.

Bye bye Timmy, thanks for the memories. A Goodison legend. Best of luck to him in the States.

This is probably the best decision for both parties. One of the few players since the 80s worthy of being called an Everton legend. Loyal and committed - a classy player and person. Good luck Tim.

It is a shame to see him go, but nobody can doubt that he has served this club well. One of the best midfielders we have ever had and I think he is a player that you would put among the list of legends for Everton. Always a true blue, I wish you all the very best Tim!

Personally I think he has 1 good season left in him, eveyone will expect him to go he won't and this will be his last and best season, I wish this anyway - CAHILL-HERO!

Sad day to lose an Everton legend but i agree with most that last season he wasn't the player he has been in season's past, still he will always be remembered as an Everton great in mine and many other blues eyes, best of luck Tim and thanks for the memories.
P.S Can we now get Donovan ?????
Matty, Wirral, 11:23 PM 23/07/2012

All the best Tim. A proper warrior on the pitch and a great ambassador for the club off it! Make sure we sign him on loan at Christmas so he gets the send off from the fans he truly deserves!

Waaaah Waaaaah Waaaah. That's me crying. I'm gutted. Bigger than Ferguson to me in terms of Everton Legends I've known and loved. Bar Big Nev cos I wasn't around for his whole career.
All the best to Mr Cahill, good luck in the MLS. They'll sort those legs out for you hopefully. Not that you need them; being able to psychologically head butt players from 30 yards and all...

Totally agree with #5 lets see him turn out for Hibbo's testimonial so we can give him a proper send off, good luck and best wishes Tim.

Taken off the official site:
Everton have agreed with Major League Soccer (MLS) that Tim Cahill can be transferred to the New York Red Bulls.
Tim, 32, will move to the Red Bulls for a nominal fee, subject to agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. He will travel to the US in the next few days.
He has played 278 times for Everton since his move from Millwall in 2004, scoring 68 goals. An Australian international with 55 caps, Tim has scored 24 times for his country.

Its now on SSN that Tim is in talks with Red Bulls so must be some truth in it. Been a great player & servant of the club, wish him & his family well in pastures new. Thanks again Timmy you little kangarooooo!

Wish him all the luck, and dont blame him for heading off for one last big pay day, top player, top attitude, top evertonian............ One of the players who always puts it in every week especially against the red shite ! !

LEGEND!!! My favourite all time player! Will sorely be missed but will wish him all the best if he goes. Good luck Tim and thankyou! Highlight was him strangling Alonso when we spanked the shite 3-0!! COYB

Tim C has not been the same since his 'shin-splints' injury - if you've had this, you'll know how serious an injury it is; to make matters worse, a full recovery is not likely unless totally rested for a sustained period. His Passion was one of his greatest gifts.
Joe Dids, Bury, 9:06 PM 23/07/2012

Proper player. Proper man. Good luck Tim.
Best signing Moyes made.

Totally agree with no.1 comment. He isn't called Tiger Tim for nothing. He is a true blue legend and a gent.

Sad to (not)see him go! (if true). Has carried the "blue through and through" banner since big Dunc left. Has not been the same player since his best mate Arteta left.

Is that the same 'he has it on good authority' Leighton Baines was off to Man Utd?!

Will be sad to see him leave, but if that's what he wants I wish him all the best.

If Tim does go then let him play in Tony Hibberts testimonial and let him say his goodbyes the proper way and also help boost the attendance.
Ste F., Old Swan., 6:40 PM 23/07/2012

I'll be sad to see this great man leave but I also think this could be a blessing in disguise. He is David's first choice and I think he is a squad player at best. Impact sub! But Mr Moyes would never play him like that. So therefore Mr Cahill leaving could be a good thing all round. He is no doubt an EVERTON legend and will always be in my heart and I suspect every other blue heart. Tim Cahill - legend forever.
Big Will, Edge Hill, 5:31 PM 23/07/2012

Cahill has been a fantastic servant for the club and will be a legend for many years to come, but frankly it is time for him to move on. He has never been the best midfielder, what made him stand out was his goals and now that they have dried up I think he will struggle to hold down a place in the team. I wish him good luck for the future and thank him for the memories
