Ibrahim Said

She Had Enough Of Him

Reports are now suggesting that Enuff's Mum is not sick and the reason he has gone home was to play in the Cairo derby between his team Al Ahly and rivals Zamalek. But Al Ahly's boss Jo Bonfrere has fobbed him off.

Alaa Abdelsadek, club manager said: "He approached us about taking part in the game against Zamalek, but I believe our players are in top form at the moment and we can handle it without him. This is a crucial match and it is better not to take any risks."

The thing is if they had said yes to him he would have been going to a closed training camp for five days, so he wouldn't have been able to see his mum. Just wait until she founds out he has been using her as an excuse to get home. I hope she batters him.(17/04/03)

Enuff is Enufff !!

Ibrahim Said has had his contract mutually terminated so that he can go back home to Egypt and care for his mother who is seriously ill.

His agent said, ' He has not been able to have his mind on football the way things are. We went to see Everton and discussed the situation with them, they were very understanding and agreed to cut his loan stay by a month. David Moyes was great and wished Ibrahim all the best'.

We only saw Ibrahim play the once, that was on a cold January night against Man U reserves when he followed his namesake Bakayoko in wearing short sleeves and gloves and clearly looked out of place! We wish him good luck and hope his Mum gets better - he's doing the right thing. (14/04/2003)

Enuff is Enuff

Ibrahim has played his 1st game in an Everton shirt since his loan move this month, and he wants more. He played right back in the 4-1 victory against Man U.Reserves.

Said said: "It has been good so far at Everton - It is very good to be here. I am enjoying myself here and I am looking forward to playing in the Premiership. I was pleased with my own performance and hopefully I can now progress into the first team.”(24/01/03)

Raring To Go

After arriving at Bellfield straight from his flight from Cairo, Ibrahim can't wait to get cracking.

Nuff Said: “I am very much looking forward to playing in England. The Premiership is now regarded as one of the best leagues in the World and it is where the best players now want to play and I want to be a part of that. I just hope that during my time here I can show David Moyes and the Everton fans what I am capable of achieving.” (09/01/03)

Work Permit OK

Nuff will arrive tomorrow with a work permit in his pocket, & will start training with one eye on the Spurs game. Don't be surprised if Nuff is in the squad for the game, as Stubbsey, Wato, Pisto and Joey Yobo are all struggling with injuries, & Davie Weir is suspended, while Tony Hibbert is out injured. (07/01/03)

Nuff Must Fight For Place

Once the work permit comes through, Nuff will begin his season long loan Goodison career and that is when the hard work starts. He must fight for his place.

Moyesy says: ""We saw bits of Ibrahim in pre-season. We saw things that we liked, there were other bits that we weren't too sure about. But we need people to cover some positions and even to fill our Reserve team at times. It will give the boy a chance to come over here and see if he can make it over in England. We can all make the decision together." (05/01/03)
