No Moore!
No Moore!
Just
confirmation that Joe has finally done one. We thank him for having
a great name to sing
to.
Joe - max says: “The supporters have been great
to me. The Evertonians are a special bunch and they never gave
me anything less than 100% backing. I’m just glad that I had the
odd opportunity to repay them with a few goals. The team is in
a great position right now and I’m sure that David Moyes can take
it from strength to strength. I will certainly be keeping in touch
with the team’s fortunes when I am back in the States. I am aware
of the history of Everton and I am extremely proud to have played
for the club on more than 60 occasions. I
hope all the players and staff, and the supporters have a great
Christmas.”
Cheers
Joe. Any time you are in Gingers in Chicago. Mention Blue Kipper
& you'll be on free ale. (13/12/02)

No Moore!
Everton
have not renewed Joe-Max's work permit which expired on 1st December
and it looks as though we have seen the last of him, as forecast
by Bluekipper below back in October. Rumours that Joe was last
seen with a banjo chasing a pig around Bellefield (Moysey had
the pig brought in to see if Joe-Max could hit it's arse) - were
completely untrue. At 31 and with 10 goals in 64 appearances he
must see the writing on the wall with the emergence of Chadwick,
Rooney & Big Dunc! One hot spell of a goal a game for 5 games
in Jan/Feb 2000 gave us false hopes but thanks for the good times.

Back
To The States?
With
the Rad & Super Kev in possession of the attacking roles at
the moment, & The Duke & Chadders the young pretenders
waiting for a chance, Joe-Max is way down the line to get a game
for the 1st team. He is currently fit, having got over the injury
he sustained in the world
Cup, & playing reserve team football. Joe could return
to the States with New England Revolution at the end of the year.
Joe's work permit and Everton contract both expire in December.

Will Fight For A Place
Joe
-Max is on his way back to full fitness and he is determined to
fight for his place. He has had a nightmare start to the season
and has just recovered from injury sustained to his knee in the
World Cup game against Poland.
Joe-Max
said: "I want to prove myself here, even though I've had
my ups and downs since I arrived. But when I'm playing for the
team and scoring some goals, there's no better place to play in
the world.
It's
a very important time for me because my contract is up in the
summer. I want to get fit, impress the manager and try to force
my way back into the reckoning."(03/10/02)
