Signs New Contract
Kevin
McLeod has signed a new one-year contract. After a successful
spell on loan at QPR where helped get them into the play-offs
at Cardiff, Kevin has returned and is determined to force his
way into the first team. ' I am definitely going to prove to the
Manager that I am worthy of a place during pre-season' said Kevin.
Well good luck son & let's hope so, mind you he's got his
work cut out being up against Mark Pembridge!! (06/07/03)
Kevin
McLeod Set To Leave
Macca
was expecting a better contract than the one Everton offered him,
so it seems certain that he will leave the club.
His
agent Neil Sang said: "Kevin didn't get the deal
he thought he should have or deserved at Everton and he's now
considering his options, of which he has a few."(22/06/03)
Macca
Not Happy
If
he leaves, Everton will get a few bob, as he's at a young age,
& we'll get a development fee.
Macca says: "It's no good for a young lad
to play in the reserves because it does your confidence no good.
The Premiership is where everyone wants to play, but if it's going
to jeopardise my career to stay with Everton and waste away, then
I won't stay. I'd rather drop down and prove myself in the First
Division.". QPR & Preston are believed to be waiting
in the wings. (04/06/03)
Macca
to play in Millennium Stadium
Kev
plays at the Millennium Stadium tomorrow for QPR against Cardiff
in the play-offs, & hopes to shine. Then he will decide to
sign another contract for Everton or go elsewhere in his quest
for 1st team football.
Kev
says: "I could see myself wasting away in the reserves
at Everton so I asked to go out on loan and I've found my feet
again. It's no good for a young lad to play in the reserves because
it does your confidence no good. Since I've come here I've learnt
a lot playing in front of people. I've been at Everton since I
was nine and when you think of Wayne, he's been given his chance
to play because there were no forwards to score goals. But there
are two or three players in front of me and Gary Naysmith and
Mark Pembridge are internationals.
I
speak to Wayne all the time - he wants to see what I'm doing down
here. But he can't tell me to wait for a chance like he did because
he didn't know he was going to get his chance, it just came along.
Everton have been watching me and I have been offered another
contract but my agent says there are other clubs interested."

New
Contract?
Kevin
will decide if he wants to sign the new contract that has been
offered to him by Everton after he has played in the play-offs
with QPR.(09/05/03)
Blue
Future
Kevin
is hoping that his successful spell at QPR can get him in the
good books with David Moyes.
Kevin
said:"I know David Moyes came to watch me play against
Blackpool recently. I didn't have the best of games during the
first half, but in the second I played a lot better and set a
couple of goals up in a 3-1 win, so I was really pleased about
that."
"The
Luton game was really enjoyable and I am confident that I could
do it in the Premiership. I have proved with QPR that I can do
it in the Second Division and it is a very physical league, where
you don't get much time on the ball. The Premiership is a massive
step up, but I would get more time to play and I think I can make
it at Everton. I just need to be given a chance, but it is down
to David Moyes."(01/05/03)
Brace
For Kevin
Kevin
scored the both goals for QPR in a 2-0 victory against Luton.
The first a header from a corner and the second a stunning free-
kick. This win gives Rangers the a certain play off place.
QPR
for Kevin
Scouser
Kev has joined promotion chasers Queens Park Rangers on a month's
loan. The 22-year-old has made just one first team substitute
appearance this season in the FA Cup game at Shrewsbury. He played
for the reserves in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Bolton.
Kev should gain valuable experience at QPR, & it maybe that
he may drop down a level to get a chance of first team togger.
QPR
man Mel Johnson said: "If all goes well, Kevin will join
training on Friday and be available against Wigan on Saturday. He
is an orthodox left-sided player who can play on the wing, at
full-back or as a wing-back. He can also play up front if required,

On
Yer Bike!
Moyesy
has said 'No' to Ronnie Moore's request to take Kevin McLeod on
loan to Rotherham. Kevin made his debut in September 2000 but
has had his opportunities limited although some might say he has
never been given a chance, he came on as a late sub last week
at Shrewsbury. Moyesy reckons injury problems are the reason for
turning down the request so Kevin's big chance could be just around
the corner. (10/01/03)
Kevin
Bags Again
Kevin
scored with a header to record his second of the season for
the Reserves last night against West Brom. Something he should
be doing more according to Reserve team boss.
Andy
Holden said:“Kevin’s header was great, but it’s something I’d
like to see more of because, although he’s a natural winger,
he’s got a great leap and he actually should score a few more
with his head.” (22/10/02)
