Chadders Back Chadders has completed his loan period with Derby. He comes back with a hope of joining the 1st team squad especially with The Rad injured.(26/03/03) I Want To Stay @ Everton Nick is pissed off that there are reports circulating in the media that he wants to leave Everton. I don't think so. Chadders
says: "It's been disappointing to read the reports(not here)
linking me with moves away from the club, as that would be against my
wishes. The reports have also suggested that I'm looking to leave Everton;
that's not the case at all. I'm happy at Everton, as I always have been.
I'm hopeful that my long-term future is at Goodison. But that's not to
say that I'm not enjoying my time at Derby. It's been great here so far,
although results haven't gone the way myself, the team or the club would
have liked, but that's been the case all season. The move is certainly
serving its purpose in that I'm playing plenty of games and enjoying first-team
football. Hopefully,
I'll be able to come back and see the season out at Everton." (19/03/03) Permanent Ram - Maybe Nick is enjoying his start at Derby, even though Gregory his manager could be heading for the sack. Chadders has started the last two games upfront with Ravenelli. He has had a few chances. Hit the bar, missed a sitter, but has worked really hard. Chadders
says: "I had a feeling I was going to go somewhere on loan
because the lads at Everton are doing really well at the moment. I've
been at Everton since I was 12 and sometimes a change can do you good,
whether it's for a few weeks or longer, and it's important for me to get
playing first-team football again. I'd like my future to be at Everton
but if not, Derby County is a very good club and I couldn't have wished
for a better start to my time down here. I don't know what David Moyes'
or John Gregory's plans are, but my plan is to play first-team football."
30 Minute Debut Chadders
replaced Georgi Kinkladze for the last half hour of the game for Derby
against Leicester. He put himself about, linked up with Ravanelli up front,
helped his side grab a last minute equalizer. This can only do him some
good. With the lack of reserve games, it gives him the opportunity to
get some games under his belt. (01/03/03) Nick off to Derby On Loan Playing for the reserves last night, Chadders hit the post, when it was easier to score. Today he finds himself off to Derby. Don't mess with Moysey! Chadders says:“Obviously it’s a fantastic opportunity. I said last week I have been frustrated at not being in the first team, mainly due to injury but also because how well the team has done. I just hope that over the next month I can build on what I started when I broke into the first team at Everton last season. I spoke to the manager this morning and he told me that John Gregory had been on the phone and would I like to go. With not having played much football this season I jumped at the chance. It will be a baptism of fire playing Leicester City, especially in front on the TV cameras. I played in the reserve game against Newcastle On Thursday and am still short of match practice but I am ready to play if required.” (28/02/03) Chadders Back Too Nick
Chadwick will return tomorrow night, alongside Big Dunc, for the reserve
game at Newcastle, after finishing last season in a blaze of glory this
season has been wrecked by injury and we are yet to see him. He also has
to contend with the emergence of The Duke, the form of The Rad, the return
of Big Dunc & after Saturday the re-emergence of Super Kev - a bit
of a challenge ahead then! Nick Back In Action As long as the pitch isn't frozen at Hyde Utd, Chadders will start his comeback game tonight. The reserve fixture against Man City may see Nick playing with Duncan Ferguson, & Wayne Rooney. (18/02/03) Op for Chadders Nick is set to have a hernia operation to cure a problem he has had for a while. (25/12/02) It's Chaders Turn To Hit A Beauty Chadders hit a stunner for the Reserves last night. As good as you will see all season. It was his forth of the season for the Reserves. Andy
Holden said:"Their goalkeeper didn’t see Nick’s goal until someone
told him to pick it out of the net! Nick deserved it because he put his
usual shift in for us on the night".(22/10/02) Good To Be Back Nick Chadwick scored a brace for the Reserves as he stepped up his claim for first team action. Chadders is made up to be playing again after an injury in pre-season has kept him out. Expect him to be knocking on the door very soon. Chadders
said: “I feel well within myself. I will let the manager make his own
decisions on whether I am ready for a return to the first team or not.
My fitness is good. I have been training every day now for the last couple
of weeks and am feeling better by the day. That was my second game back
and with the more games I play, the sharper and fitter I will be.”(19/09/02) |
