Onuoha To Everton Soon?
Bookmark and Share

QPR have made a move for Everton target Nedum Onuoha. But the news coming out is Neddy (to his mates) wants to stay in the North West.

This could mean Everton jumping to the head of the queue of clubs trying to capture the versatile defender

His Mum and his agent Dr Anthonia Onuoha confirms a deal with any club is still to be started. He will take his time making the right decision

The Doctor said: "http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gifManchester City officials have not given Nedum permission to meet QPR or any other clubs' officials with a view to holding face-to-face discussions regarding a loan deal or permanent move. The latest report of a move to QPR this weekend is, therefore, totally inaccurate.

"Nedum has two-and-a-half years left on his current Manchester City contract and will only make a move that is right both for his career and family circumstances.

"We have a number of clubs interested in him. He will weigh up his options before making any decision."

A defender is of great urgency. Look at the age of our defence, plus injuries. Distan 34, Hibbert 31, Neville 35. Granted we do need a goalscorer just as urgently but we also need to keep clean sheets, as all pundits will tell you.

I think this lad would be a good signing but not a priority. Duffy is doing sound at CB and at RB Hibbert is solid defensively, not as good going forward but his crossing the last 12-18 months has really improved, look at his ball for Velios goal v Wigan, he's put quite a few decent balls in this season and last, maybe just needs more licence to get up there and do it. Striker and attack mid got to be priority, would like to see us get the lad from Fiorentina we been linked with and the forward from Porto.

Although my Man City mates rate him highly, why waste our money on another defender. Duffy did nothing wrong, Distin and Jags will be back soon. It's like when we sold Lescott we signed 2 defenders when we needed a striker and a good attacking midfielder. We'll be over crowded at the back in a couple of weeks again.

The forwards (well apart from Saha) aren't the problem. The problem lies with our complete inability to make posession count and deliver quality service to the front line. Onuoha is a quality player and signing him would address a long standing weakness at right-back. How many times have we got in promising positions only for Neville or Hibbert to aimlessly hit the ball? Onuoha is quality, can also cover centre-half, and should be a no-brainer to get him in.

First time this season I am genuinely worried about relegation. Will be interesting to see how we perform against Man City at home compared to the so called weaker teams. Signing this chap would add so much to our team though. The team looks unbalanced with so much coming through Bainesy at left back and swet FA from right back. Fingers crossed

I think we'd be better served to save what little money we have, leave Duffy in there as he's looked good so far and instead go for a striker as "Big Vic" is still utter shite even if he has scored a few recently.

Looked good at Sunderland last season as a RB, long term Neville replacement with his ability to play in a few positions?

Constantly linked with defenders. Even the papers who love filling column inches with bullshit dont link us with attacting players because they know no one would believe Moyes is seriously after anyone with a bit of talent or flair.
