Jelavic At Finch Farm
Bookmark and Share

Everton are believed to have agreed a fee with Glasgow Rangers for Nikica Jelavic.

We also understand that Nik is now at Finch Farm ready for the medical and finalise personal terms, having come down to the North West last night.

With Everton involved with a small matter of a game against Man Siteehh tonight, David Moyes will hope to have the deal done before the game.

Don't get too excited until its done deal....cue Hawwy the Dog, last minute. I still think its a done deal mind.

I remember a previous "gamble" coming from Rangers... tall lad, called Duncan. If this fella is half as good it'll be a top signing

This is a really good signing by David Moyes and from what I've seen of Nikica Jelavic, he certainly has alot of potential. He's good in the air, good with penalties and freekicks and I know he needs time, but when David Moyes works on his overall game play to bring the best out of him, I think he'll do really well and bring us the goals that we need. At 6ft 2in he's a big lad, so I don't know if Moyes will stick him up front with Stracqualursi as he's a big lad aswell, see if the height factor might work with that, but then again David Moyes may consider a different option.

Great signing. I'm working in Scotland at the moment and the Rangers fans are gutted. Celtic fans will say he is shite but I have it on good authority from lads who watch him week in week out that he is top notch and will be even better in the premiership with the players we have around him.

Absolutely made up well done Moyes & The board. I for one have been very critical of late on the clubs failings, but I'm very happy with Jelavic. Now lets kick on and beat City tonight and push on in the next few weeks and get through round five in the cup!!! COYB!!!!

Thanks for the responses on my Beckford post. Just concerned about the 'good business' comment. With this rationale it would also be 'good business' to sell Our Jack and Ross for the fee's we see day-to-day. A lot is to be said for the way Newcastle run things (selling Carroll then seemingly creating a very good squad- much like our Rooney sale; brought the club together) but I love seeing our Young un's making the transition much more than seeing us spend millions on players who don't know what the clubs about. Saha doesn't seem to care, Beckford did. Would love to see Baxter given a go upfront..

If this is a done deal I am made up, but for the love of god Moyes don't ruin another striker. Give him support.

Fantastic signing if this goes through, maybe a midfielder on loan Mr Moyes!?
