Giefer The Keeper To Goodison?
Bookmark and Share

Fabian Giefer's agent has claimed that Everton are among several clubs interested in signing the Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper at the end of the season.

Giefer the Keeper (or Geef to his mates) is just 21 and is currently the back-up to Bernd Leno at Leverkusen and has made only a handful of Bundesliga appearances during his career.

He has a further season to run on his contract, but could be on the move in the summer, with Bayern Munichhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif reportedly favourites to snap up Giefer as cover, his agent told Der Bild.http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif

Agent Tobias Sander said: 'Fabi has got four alternatives, Bayern Munich, Fortuna Dusseldorf, SpVgg Greuther Furth and Everton.' http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif

'It will be a gut decision in the end.'

'Bayern Munich definitely has a special status. The training facilities, as much as the atmosphere at the club, are just a class in their own.'

Reports claim that Everton are considering a move for Giefer as back-up to Tim Howard with Jan Mucha and Marcus Hahnemann looking to move on in the summer.

Bayern or Everton? No choice!

Bring him in and let Mucha and Hahnemann go, we have too many keepers who use up wages!
