Everton Look To Diame
Bookmark and Share

Wigan midfielder Mohamed Diame is out of contract this summer, so the media are speculating that David Moyes may move for the powerful Senegal international.

Mo (to his mates) has been at Wigan for three seasons since signing from Rayo Vallecano in 2009 and has lost his starting place to James McArthur and James McCarthy.

The 24 year old has 10 International caps and its thought that Newcastle are also in the hunt.

Agree with all the positive comments regarding Diame. Not sure if Ste is taking the piss about Castillo but i would be more worried if he was comparing him with Alex Nyarko.

No#1 shows you know nothing about football, Faddy brought in for a reason to bolster the squad to cover like last week. Diame not in their tean at present as just come back from injury and the scotish lads done well. Diame would be a quality signing, bolster midfield and then we could push feli up top more like last week and this would save us money not having to get another top striker through the door. what do you all think

Yes J and we got Jimmy mac for free and he does the job without, ok, being stunning. We need players like that for the squad, and who knows with Moyes man managment he could become a great player (Mo).

Also think this lad is worth a punt, until this seeason he was a major player Wigan and linked with several clubs. Has only lost his place in first 11 due to emergance and form of McCarthy. Can't see his wages being astronomical so makes sense...but it is silly season now and with our predicament we will be linked with any free transfer (Boswinga, Farfan, Rodellga...list goes on). Not sure what African Cup of Nations will have to do on whether teams sign him, he'll only miss two months tops and most sides will be looking to get bodies in to add depth so its a no brainer. Find the McFadden comment a little harsh, he was brought in for the very reason above, to add a body and when he's played, however minimal has made progress, could argue he offered us a way back in last week v Utd as he had a had in the link up to both late goals?!?

I disagree completely with #1. This guy is good and I would defo have him for free. I also doubt newcastle will want another african because the african cup of nations is on again this january and they already got 3 leavin for that.

Not a bad player big an strong in the Patrick Viera mould and looks like he can score goals as well. I'm sure David Moyes is doing his home work on him.If we did sign him Moyes will make him a great player. like Jags, Felli, Cahill, Peanuts, Gibbo, Jelavic, Jonny, Bainsy. Maybe 3 more quality players to this team, and we will be lookin good for next season. COYB.

Just cos he isnt in there team at the mo Greg doesnt mean he isnt any good!. He's actually not bad and for free would be a good squad player and good cover for Felli and Gibbo IMO, a better option than Rodders, he's alot better player, better on the ball, powerfull, box to box and a strong runner that gets a foot in, and cant half hit a shot with either foot. For nothing it's worth it i think.

Do we really want somebody who can't get in to the wigan first team? Could be a worse signing than smackfadden if it comes about!
