Jay On His Way
Bookmark and Share

Reports going around today are that Everton are trying to pinch Jay Rodriguez from Burnley. Southampton have agreed a deal of £6m with Burnley and are said to be talking with Jay about his personal terms.

Jay has been linked with us before.

Rodders, to his mates, has been in goal scoring form for the Championship side and is ready to step up to the Premiership.

Could it be in an Everton shirt?

Seen this kid half a dozen times now and have to say the kid is prem quality. Excellent touch and awareness. It does worry me though that by all accounts this story is creditable. So who's going to fund this? If i had a choice i would get rid of Jag or Johnny, both great players but we could afford to lose 1 of them. Please not Baines we want him with Pienaar. Not to fund him.

Not worth the punt at 6M. I've seen the lad play as he developed as a youngster for Burnley. Not good enough for Everton - especially at that price - 0.6M maybe !!

Worth a go if we had a decent transfer kitty as Moyes has a good record of bringing in players from lower leagues and giving them a chance, but £6m seems more than we can risk. It looks like Jelavic is our lone striker and we already have the likes of Vellios to cover him. Would rather see us secure Pienaar and try to keep the current team together.

All those kippers smell bad to me, 6m for what looks like a boy is far to steep for us, when you consider what else you can buy for that price. If he signs for us i wil eat the head and tail ! !

With what money? They are struggling to sign Peinnar never mind finding an additional six million for an unproven championship player. Isnt this rumour from the Mirror? I would believe that paper about as much as the Scum. Surprised you have given this four kippers.

I've never seen him play but 6 mill sounds awfully steep. I'd sooner see it go on Peanuts.
