Everton seem to be on the verge of signing Danijel Pranjic from Bayern Munich. He was close to coming to Everton in January but the clubs couldn't agree a deal.

Danny, to his mates, is a left sided player who can play left back and left midfield. He would be a great addition to the Everton squad.

Even though he is over 30 years old, David Moyes would love to see another Croatian to choose from.

Pranjic said: "I am honoured that such a successful coach wants to sign me, and would be honoured to play for a club like Everton with such a rich history.

"We were very close to completing a deal in January, but then Bayern prevented it going through. I can't say that everything is finished, but next week I'm expecting some concrete developments."

"I'm hungry to play again, to fight with my team-mates for success, to play for the fans. I missed all that sitting on the bench at Bayern.

"I'm 31 years old and physically I feel perfect. I have reached my maturation point as a player and as a person, and I think I'm capable of producing the best form of my career."

After hearing the all to familiar sound of Nuts shooting himself in the foot (Again!!!) by pledging his allegiance to Club and Cockerel (Oh I H8 that FN bird!) I'm wondering (OK praying!) That Moyes has Danijel Well!? in mind to cover Peanuts's spot and not Baines! If so FN Grr8!, and we can nab Spurs by the Nuts next year on a freebee! Hurrah!

Selling Baines would definitely be a step in the wrong direction. We need to strengthen the team not get rid of our top players just so we have money for lesser players. I'm a big Kenwright and Moyes fan but if we need the next level (ie Europe) we need at least 3 top playes for next season, Peanuts being one of those.

Could be to play left wing with Peanuts on right? Or possibly right wing cutting on a la the mad dutchman. Doesn't necessarily mean Baines or Peanuts won't be there next year (Living in hope!!!)

Get the deal done. This guy is a quality player regardless of age and with no fee involved he could be one of the bargains of the season.

Oh Well !! at least we have a good chance of signing a player that will do a good job in a blue shirt. Bainsey looks as though he will be sacrificed to the Title Hopes of Sir Whiskey Nose of Manure. If we do lose him then we have to press for the biggest wedge of cash that we can get, Tip Alex upside down and shake him till his pockets are empty.

Looks like a done deal, but he was sitting on the bench at Bayern so he wont want that at Everton, so who will he be replacing, Pienaar will come, looks like Leighton could be on his way ? it is going to be an interesting window for Everton

This player will improve the squad and can play in a number of positions and we can't argue with the free transfer. As long as he is brought in to challenge Baines and not replace him then I am happy

Sounds like a goer... but does this mean we're not getting Pienaar...? :-/

Great for squad depth. Covers Baines and who ever our left winger may end up being

All the papers are using this to "confirm" a Baines move but i think he'll be put in the left midfield while being able to cover Baines when Baines goes forward.
