Fenerbahce Bid For Heitinga
Bookmark and Share

We reported some weeks back that Fenerbahce were sniffing around. Now some reports are saying that Fenerbahce have made a £5m for Johnny Heitinga.

The 28-year-old Dutch man has entered the final 12 months of his contract, but seems happy at Everton after a great season when he picked up the Everton player of the season and was urging the Everton manager to keep the squad together for the start of this season.

Nothing should surprise Evertonians. What do you think?

Everton have an option to renew for a further 12 months hence the lack of urgency by EFC to cash-in.

Great Player. Play him all season and we will be top 4.

Our best player last season and a solid shout for next captain. We must keep Heitinga, but even if he was to leave we should never do business with Fenerbache.

I wouldn't be that bothered if he left. He had a decent season but he's not that good- Moyes has the knack when it comes to centre backs. If it is to be done we need cash up front. None of that Yobo sh**e from the Turks!

Make him captain, been a rock last season and adds a bit of steel to the team which we need now Cahill's left. Need to keep him, just don't let him take the free kicks.

I'll never forget the barge on Ashley Cole prior to him taking a penalty in the shoot out. Definitely put the little gobshite off his kick. Johnny was one of our best players last season. We would be crackers to let him go. Johnny must stay.

Sounds like a real Turkey don't it?

Wow! A £5m bid for Johnny Heitinga? What does that fetch us in Fenerbahce Funny Money these days? A (Questionable) Homemade Tub of Goat's Cheese followed by Turkey's All time top selling book; "A Turkish Man's guide to meeting British Cougars at Beach Resorts" (Subtext "UK Citizenship for Dummies!") No Sale Arkadaşım!

After the Yobo nonsense I don't think Everton will be doing any more deals with the Turks.

Fenerbahce are quoted on the Istanbul stock exchange. If they make a bid for a player or if they are linked to a player by the Turkish media they are legally obliged to announce/deny it here : http://kap.gov.tr/yay/Sorgu/SorguBildirimSonuc.aspx?kaynak=slink&sirketID=1383&paketTipi=2 Nothing there on Heitinga as of 9pm Weds evening. The top item is the club denying reports linking them to Felipe Melo.

Utter rubbish. I will bet you the transfer fee he does not move. Moyes won't want him gone either.

Heitinga signed a 5 year deal so he's got 2 years left. If he does go, should be able to get more that £5 million. But don't sell to those cretins!

Johnny said in the past that last season was his best since being at Everton and that he would like to play a few more years in England before moving back to Dutch football. I think he will remain with Everton!

Are you sure about hiim entering the last year of his current contract? Elsewhere on here (link below)you report he has a contract until August 2014. I wouldn't trust the Mirror over this story - it contains no direct quotes, and it makes no sense anyway. If he has 2 years left with us he'd command £8-10m in my view. Personally I hope he's with us to stay - in fact, now would be the time to extend his deal and perhaps offer him the captaincy too. http://www.bluekipper.com/players/squad/117-johnny_heitinga.html

I'm with other posters. After the Yobo pantomime and the promises that weren't kept over the fee for JY I would just publically refused to do any business with Fenerbahce. 5 Million? You're having a laugh aren't you? Why would we sell him at a loss?

The cheeky bastards! They didn't cough up the agreed asking price for Joey, so why do they think we'd flog Johnny to them and for £5m - just laugh in their faces and tell 'em to fook off!

After all the Yobo nonsense i think it is time to mess Fenerbahce around....or just simply tell them to f**k off!! 5m for our player of the season....do one!!

If it's true he would be mad to go to Turkey after what happened to Joey Yobo. I never believe rumours, only signatures on a contract.
