Everton Look At Scottish Striker
Bookmark and Share

Reports are circulating that Everton have made an enquiry for Dundee United's striker Johnny Russell (Johnny to his mates).

Scoring 14 goals last season, the 22 year old has got off to a flyer this season. He scored twice in United's 3-0 derby win over Dundee, before being sent off, earlier this month.

David Moyes has said he is still looking to add to his squad before the transfer window on Friday and Johnny maybe just the fella.

What do you think?

I doubt anyone knows more about whats happening in the Scottish Prem than our manager, and thats a big bonus, there is always quality coming through, you just have to spot it and get it in before the next club sniffs about. This lad is quality by all accounts and Moyes may sign him, as Naismith can also be deployed in midfield, so their could be some extra flexibility in this. That said would like a strong mature midfielder in there as if Felli gets injured we are a bit weak. Intersting few days ahead

I'd take him, but i'd agree with Nogz. Would love to see Tom Ince make the step up to the Premier. Rumours we were sniffing around for his signature before. Although after his lightening start to the season Blackpool will prob add a few million to the price. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Moyes can work his magic again.

Although it looks safe were keeping Baines, we need cover at left back. There is the outstanding Distin. Thank God, but what if Jags or Johnny pick up knocks we will soon be stretched. So left back or defensive utility player before anymore attackers please. COYB

Seems like someone who come come in to bulk up the numbers, but wouldn't be surprised to see him be another diamond. Evertons supply to the front men has improved big time this season, we have 40 goal attempts between the last 2 matches and thats with Marallas only playing for 20 minutes. Jelavic has looked good in both games and his work rate has been Class, he will make an even bigger impact this season, so anybody coming in has a job on their hands to shift him and Fellaini out of the front line. NIL SATIS.

I think we need midfilders more than anything, Tom Ince or Matt Phillips Tom Huddlestone on loan?

Do we need another striker? We need back up/competition for Bainsey in my opinion.

Watched this fella alot. Great player. I don't think we will go for him though. We got Naismith instead.
