Everton Talk About Owen
Bookmark and Share

Snouty has told us that Michael Owen hasnt stopped ringing him wanting a move to Everton.

After telling a few clubs about his demands, the ex-redshite is worried he will be left on the shelf when the transfer window closes tomorrow.

Steve Round rates him highly, but has ruled out a move for the 32 year old.

Steve said: "There's been no contact from us to Michael. I can't see that changing at the moment.

"I worked with him at Newcastle and England but at the moment he's not been spoken about by the manager or the chairman.

"Michael is a proven goalscorer at the highest level. Even with his limited appearances at Manchester United his goals per game ratio was excellent.

"If he stays fit and plays for a Premier League team I'm sure he'll score goals. But it's not really the area we're looking for."

Do you want Owen At Everton?

U never been the races doug?? It's his pass to get in. Simple fact is although signing Owen on a pay as u play deal would be the only option I'd go for we just don't need him as he didn't need us a few years back. There's no denying he'd knock a few goals in but I think we're scoring enough all ready. COYB'S

Mercenary, injury prone red twat. I'd have Alex Nyarko back on the books before Owen.

Owen Is without a club, therefore the transfer window doesn't apply to him. He can sign for a club, both inside and outside of the window. The problem now is we have too many people writing these stories about football, who have very little football knowledge.

15 pete. I think you will find they are Gap Connahs Quay atm. They did mention though that they had bought an electric blanket for the bench to keep the players warm. They will be annoyed to hear that they missed out on a cheaper option!!!!!

You know, a few years ago we may have been interested with reason but he is now too old and not good enough for this Everton squad. I have been an Evertonian for 56 years, was on Gwladys Street with my Dad the night we beat West Brom and won the league in 1970, and I have rarely been more excited than by the group Moysey has put together this season. They look so hungry and they really really want to win AND are playing great football like we used to in years gone by. COYB. I love you!

Why would we possibly want a vastly experienced, proven PL goalscorer, who grew up as a blue, who would cost nowt, on a pay-as-you-play basis?Too much of a risk...? Not sure I understand the extent of the hostility really. He certainly woudln't be a wise buy if we were expecting him to play 30 games a season, but as someone who could turn a game in the last 20 minutes he shouldn't be ruled out, given that he's free. Imagine him scoring a 92nd minute winner at the kop end in a derby and suddenly its sounds rather more appealing!

No. I'm looking forward far to much to seeing just how far he'll go to try and get a top flight team to give him a contract to even consider whether he would be able to remain injury free long enough to have anything to offer. Would he play for hotdogs at Macc Town or Bury in the hope of impressing sufficiently to be picked up in January? I do hope so.

will never want him in a blue shirt as vividly remember him saying when he went to newcastle that it wasnt the right time for him to sign for us. i take from that that he would bleed other teams dry for more money then come to us when theres nothing else. not fit to wear the shirt would rather sign beattie back on even he could score in this team now........... i took it too far then didnt i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a time in the long distant past where Owen said " Everton are not the right club for me at this present time" Well Michael...........You are not right for us, not now, not never. Do not touch this mangey dog (with fleas) with a barge pole. A right mercenary tw4t if ever there was one.

Arrgh that" s nice. We could be the footballers version of "home for broken animals' " we never put a damaged footballer to sleep". Then just to show how super sweet we are we could put Downing, Henderson, Carroll and Adam in the pasture too. Hope the sarcasm hasn't been too apparent!

With SuperKev, Steve Nai, Steve P, The BigFelli and the Jellyman scoring goals we don't need Owen, he should should stick to what he knows best, throwing horse shit about with Fergie and the rest of Manure squad. 125/1 for us to finish in top 4, put your wife, your house and your pension on it. COYB, FTRS, IMWT.

I am not bothered he's been a red a manc or that he said he could never bring himself to play for us. The fact is he won't get in our team he won't suit our style of play, he'd cost too much money and he is the biggest injury risk since Darren Anderton. Thanks but no thanks.

As an out of contract player does he not have the right to join a team at any point and is not worried about the window closing?
